The Sentinel of Earth.

A transformation on whole new level.

                                    "Are you ready, Dexter Drake."  Every time the alien, Xil Ha', would say his full name now, it shot an angry chord up his spine, but he didn't let on to it. Ready for what? Dexter said. "Why to become this worlds Sentinel, of course." Xil Ha' had said as a matter of factually. "Place your right hand upon the symbol and press firmly down."  Hesitantly, Dexter followed Xil Ha' s instructions, and in a quick burst of violet  blue cosmic energy, the person the world once knew as Dr. Dexter Drake, healer for the mentally challenged, was no more. He had now become earth's Sentinel. 

                         Aside from his highly amplified mental capabilities, Dexter could feel that his body was coursing with cosmic energy and covered in a purplish and black uniform, which made him look like some type of superhero. As he began to feel its texture and the violet color, he made reference to that of a starfish with its skin feeling somewhat grainy and almost reptilian-like, while the black resembled human muscle tissue His head was entirely covered with the violet color stopped just below his brow. His eyes were now large and mirrored with no pupils. In the middle of his forehead was a smaller version of the Quantum symbol resting inside a wide black stripe. The violet color continued down surrounding his shoulders, fully covering his chest, over his abdomen, leaving black around the outer parts of his thighs, and finally ending down his legs and covering his feet. His forearms, and over his biceps and triceps, were the black color, but his hands were covered with the violet skin and stopped just about midway of his forearm. On the back of his forearms rested 12-inch segmented shards of crystal, longer versions of the crystal rested on the front of his legs just below his knees. Dead center in his chest was a larger version of the yellow Quantum symbol resting in a flat on his chest. Dexter stood there in a fixed position in a state of total and complete awe, as he continued to view his new look.

                       Even with all of this event transpiring, something was telling him that there was more to the story than his new alien friend was telling him. 'Why was he chosen from all the people on earth, and why were there other aliens chosen to carry out this task as well. " He was beginning to feel a little sorry that he had chosen to investigate the ship at all. But, then again, what if this device had fallen into the hands of that Simon Grafter character? Then it really would have been a problem. "Why does the earth need protection Xil, is the earth in trouble?"  Dexter had finally asked in his new stereo voice. Xil lowered his head in an almost solemn way. He is called Arkus. He once sat amongst the inner-galactic council. He was a very ambitious scientist and the creator of the Quantum power. but he sought to use the power for evil purposes.", " He was exiled from the council, and Orion 8."  "His where abouts are unknown at this time, but rest assure, Dexter Drake, he will stop at nothing to retrieve its power." "Is that where I come in? " Dexter asked. 'You, as well as others who have been chosen also are now merging with their Quantum devices as well." You see Dexter Drake, while Arkus wanted to use this great power for evil, the council sought out particular individuals across several galaxies, who are healers, that is why you were chosen, Dexter Drake. "But there are others here on earth with that same purpose. What makes me different from them?" Dexter asked. "I believe you have a saying here on earth Dexter Drake. You were at the correct place and at the correct time."  "Fate has caused this meeting Dexter Drake." " Fate."
