A new frontier

                  Dexter and William were standing in the reading room looking at Mia's form on several computer screens. The largest one was in the middle. "So you're telling me that some of the cosmic alien nanotechnologies are now inside Mia?" Dexter asked. "Yup, any Idea how they got their good buddy?"Jones said patting him on the back and smiling. "Oh my God, what have I done." Dexter had moved over to the window looking down into the cat scan room as Mia was putting her clothes back on. "Dex, you think she'll mind if she stayed here, I would really like to run a few more tests." But Jones words had fallen on deaf ears. Dexter was far too concerned about Mia's fate.

                      Daniel stood in the middle of the office floor admiring himself in the mirror. He had rid himself of his homeless gear, showered, and was cleanly shaven. His naturally curly dark brown mixed with grey hair was trimmed and tight but yielded a slight wave pattern. Miller had vanished into the back area. moments later when he returned, he handed Daniel his old uniform. "I think you'll be needing this for yer come back," Miller said, as he twirled his unlit cigar butt around in his mouth. Daniel looked down at the white caped and specialized old fashioned blue bodysuit and smiled. He was beginning to feel like his old self again. A quick whirlwind spin and the Captain was back. He stood in the office large oval-shaped cracked mirror and continued admiring himself. It was a full sky blue bodysuit with a white cape with the inside of the cape lined in gold. At the top of his left shoulder was a gold metal disc which allowed the cape to drape off of his left shoulder. A one-half inch braided gold rope held it in place and came across his torso, and around to his back. The cape fell to mid-calf. His white boots stopped just above his calf with a small slit just in front, they too had gold trimming around the top. Captain Pinnacle was back, and ready to be in full swing. "Now, can I use your phone Mill man?" Daniel asked. "Sure, who you calling?" Miller asked. " The Times, I need to have a press conference." Miller just looked at his old friend, nodded, and smiled, he was glad to see his good friend return to normal.

                         Mia and Jones sat in the break room having coffee. "So, where do you fit into all of this?" Mia finally asked. "How do you mean," Jones replied. 'What is your metahuman ability." Jones just smiled at her but kept wondering if she was fishing to get an exclusive. "This off the record?"  Jones asked taking a sip of his coffee. Mia knew all too well that getting exclusives was what she was good at, but right now, this very moment, all she wanted to be was normal."Yes". She finally said with some hesitation. Jones just looked at her. No matter who's girlfriend she was,  Mia was still a reporter. "I promise, this' will be off the record." Jones had begun to feel somewhat better about answering Mia's Question. "Where's Dex?" She asked him before she began her questioning. "He had a twelve o'clock he needed to keep."  "He'll be back as soon as he's done." "Now, how do I fit into the picture."

                           Once Jones began telling her of his own struggles, Mia instantly became sorry she had ever made such a crazy deal. All of the main stuff about Dr.William Jones she already knew, billionaire philanthropist, Doctor of Physics, scientist, inventor, and creator of a nearly indestructible element called silicon carbide titanium. She even knew about the dozen, or so patents he held, but what she didn't know was, "So your bionic?" She asked. " Something like that," Jones replied. "But it's more like bionic parts, and implants." My arms, legs, and  parts of my spine all are all made of SCT." My eyes and ears only have SCT implants." Wow, that's pretty cool, but whenever your out stopping crime, you wear that suit, what's up with that." Mia asked, taking a sip of her coffee."That's my Alpha acceleration exoskeleton suit." Jones replied. "What does it accelerate? She asked. "Everything".Jones replied "My speed, strength, hearing, and sight capabilities." "Just about anything I can think of." "However, most of my adversaries have no clue that the suit just accelerates my bionic strength." "Wow, I don't know what to say." Mia finally said. It's almost too overwhelming, but at the same time, I just found out that my lover is an inner galactic peace officer." Jones smiled and nodded yes, yes you did. Just as he was finishing up his fascinating tale, Kiyanna had come into the break room. Mia recognized her immediately but played it off like it was her first time meeting her. "Hello Mia, "I am Kiyanna Bantu". Kiyanna extended her hand to shake Mia's.  She stood about 5 foot 9 and built like a well-trained fitness model, but maintained her femininity. She had a head full of long curly black hair but it was pulled away from her face with a 2-inch white headband. She had sultry round eyes and small full semi pouty glossy lips. Her skin was like smooth cocoa, and she wore little to no makeup but still had a radiance about her. She wasn't in her meta-human gear, she just wore some jeans, that seem to be painted on, and a simple lavender top. She was dropped dead gorgeous. 'William, are we still going out this evening if so, I will need to purchase a few things." Mia could tell that Kiyanna had just put Jones in a very discomforting position. His facial expression told it all. "So William, you going out tonight?" Girls got to look her best." Jones knew he needed to nip this in the bud right away. "Okay that's the other thing,.."We are a couple, yes." Kiyanna chimed in cutting him off. Jones just looked at her with a slight grin."Look, the rest of the team doesn't know okay, and right now, I'm not ready to just air that information right now." " Hey tell you what, I have to finish some stuff up in the lab, and If its okay with Kiyanna, why don't the both of you hang out a bit?" "That would be fine."Mia do you need to change?" Kiyanna asked. "I need about fifteen minutes, and I'll be ready." Kiyanna leaned in, and gave Jones a very passionate kiss, and walked out with Mia. Mia looked back at Jones, and gave him a playful shame on you finger gesture, and smiling.
