Grafter had made the trip to the outskirts of town with his new exoskeleton unit. He needed another set of eyes to keep a watch on the readings as he ran his test. Arnold Straggler was a scientist much like his mentor, the great Dr. Simon Grafter, and was elated when he was asked to work with him. He had just finished doing his operational checks so they could get started. "We're set to go Dr. Grafter, ready when you are." Arnold called out. Grafter was inside the large truck putting the exoskeleton suit on leaving off its helmet and opting to carry it out himself before putting in on. "Well, how do I look ?" Grafter said standing and posing like some sort of champion. "Like a god Dr.Grafter!" Arnold said like a mindless lackey sucking up. "Now Arnold, let's not go that far shall we, we'll just say demi-god. Grafter himself was just as excited as Arnold but tried to maintain his composure, he didn't want to lose face in the eyes of his assistant.
Once Grafter placed the helmet onto his head, the exoskeleton suit had turned on. He felt incredibly strong instantly. Soon after he initiated the flight system he took off like a jet. He soared higher and higher, reaching heights he had reached only in an airplane. He was in complete control of the unit as he zoomed in and out of cloud gatherings. "Dr. Grafter are you OK ?"Arnold yelled into his com system. "I'm fine Arnold. The helmet gave him digital readings of the suits power, destinations, time and energy levels, the only thing left to do now was to test its arsenals. "I'm returning Arnold prepare the targets please." Arnold could just see Grafter returning and coming in fast. "Dr. Grafter you're coming in too fast!" He yelled into the mic."Just pay attention to the readings, ' I'll be fine Arnold." Grafter was just a hundred yards away when he fired his first-hand blast. the deadly beam sliced right through the granite block like butter. The second blast did the same to another block, turning it into ash instantly. "Arsenals are working perfectly Dr. 'Grafter!" "Now what do you want to do? Arnold asked. Time to test the suits strength." Grafter replied as he came in for his landing. "You looked great out there Dr.Grafter. Arnold said as he rolled out the several remaining blocks on an electrical skid. Grafter walks up to one of the blocks and gave it a swift front to kick, and the rock went sailing landing yards away. The second was met with a two clinched downward fist turning it into rubble. The third block he gave a right cross which sent the rock flying from the blow. Afterward, Grafter just smiled as the last block landed picturing it as Drake falling the same way.
