He was fast asleep under lower Wacker drive when MCPD  stopped by to push him on. "Okay, buddy this ain't no flophouse down here." Cop one had said, poking Daniel with his nightstick. It instantly snapped in two. "Cities gonna have to spring for better equipment ." Cop two said. When Daniel rolled over to see the two officers, he looked at them and shook his head with disdain half-grin. His face was bearded salt and pepper grey, as was his long dark brown curly thick hair. He was covered in mounds of dirty clothes, and brown quilt, and a black and red Silver-backs skull cap on his head. His shopping cart was full of all kinds of trash and old newspapers he had accumulated from years past. "You want us to drop you somewhere friend ?" Cop two said, but Daniel just ignored them and kept gathering himself. Once he stood fully erect he towered over both officers. "Easy big fella, let's not make this hard on you." Cop one said. Again, Daniel just kept it moving. Once the two officers saw that Daniel wasn't much of a threat, they climbed back into their squad car and sped off taking a more important call.

Daniel pushed on leaving his lower Wacker solitude behind him. He was a fair-skinned mountain of a man of forty-six years, His countenance was as just some homeless guy. He pushed his shopping cart out of lower Wacker and made his way to the main streets of Downtown Millennium city. The streets were emptied by this time. just a few bar hoppers, and late evening workers. He just happened past a front page of the Times floating by. He instantly grabbed it as it clung to the front of his cart. It read, There's A new sheriff in town, and in the photo was the Sentinel of the earth holding up an elevated train that had been derailed. It also read in the subtitle Where is Pinnacle? all Daniel did was smile, crumbled the tabloid up, and stuffed it into his shopping cart.

Grafter was getting the hole in his wall repaired. He eagerly wanted to finish working on his latest invention. All he needed now for his awesome plan to work, was its flight mechanism and arsenals. It was the only way he could match Drake's Sentinel abilities, or at least come really close to it.

The next morning, Dexter was in his kitchen preparing coffee and breakfast for him and Mia who was at this point, taking a shower. Their night together was all about forgiveness, and release. His forgiving her, and her helping him to release months of stress and worry. However, there were a few things which gave him a slight level of concern, and that was how to define what they were now, and secondly, had his abilities done any damage to her, and lastly, now that she knew his secret identity, what was she going to do with the information. These topics need to be discussed and solidified before they went any further. Dexter could hear Mia bringing her shower to an end. She was humming happily, which was something she never did. She appeared to be happy, but it was still too soon to tell. He heard her coming out of the bathroom and heading towards the kitchen. "I know you're not cooking breakfast." She said entering wearing his thick navy terry bathrobe. Dexter just smiled as he fixed their plates. "Coffee?" He said pouring himself a cup. "Please." She replied. The whole time she stood in the entranceway of the kitchen, she had kept a continual smile, but Dexter didn't know what that meant.

He fixed them Mexican omelets, linked turkey sausages with wheat toast and grape jelly, with a medley of mixed melons slices. "Take your seat I'll bring it out for you." He told her. "Wow!" Good loving, and breakfast in the morning?" "Wow, you have changed." You must not want me to ever leave this condo." She said as she took her seat in the dining room. Dexter wasn't too far behind her. He watched her as she walked to the dining table to take her seat. He truly loved everything about Mia, and after last night, he even felt somewhat closer to her, but he needed to know where they stood. Were they a couple once more, or were they just there for one another. Mia sat across from him smiling, Dexter just smiled as well. Their passion for one another was obvious, but the underlining questions would have to be addressed. "Why are you smiling so," Dexter asked taking a sip of his coffee. "You." "You've got me all giddy this morning." She replied. "Can I ask you something Dex." "Sure" He replied. "I'm not really sure how to put this." She said looking over to the window. "Mia, what is it?" She sighed, and then she posed her question. "Dex you seemed pretty energized last night." "How do you mean?" He asked."Well for starters, you made love to me five times, and each time You hardly took a break ." "Was that because of the Quantum thing in your chest.?" In all actuality, he was just as surprised as she was. "I didn't hurt you did I?" "Oh heavens no!" "In fact, it was the best sex I've in quite some time." Even better than Devion? He wanted to ask but knew better. "So, where are we with this." Dexter finally asked. "With what"? She replied, crossing her legs out from under the table, casually swinging her foot back an forth. It was almost as if she was waiting for him to ask. "Are you asking me to go steady Dr. Drake?" She replied playfully. "Would you be serious." Dexter had said. "I need to know Mia if you're here for the long haul,  or ?..." "Or what?" She asked with a little attitude. After last night, I can't believe you even asked me that."
