Dexter did all he could to avoid hitting, what appeared to be, a small child with his Range Rover on the slick wet road, but it was already too late, he was sure to hit the young lad. But, once he made what he would assume to be the impact, he found his rapidly skidding vehicle passing directly through the lad as if it were a ghost, and causing him and his S.U.V. to flip over three times, and finally smashing into a large Sequoia like tree just off the road.
After what seemed like hours, Dexter had finally awakened from his unconscious state and climbed out of his now wrecked Range Rover staggering. in his confused state, he began to look about the scene and saw that the small child he was trying to avoid was nowhere to be found. His mind began to race rapidly as to how this all happened. He had taken his eye's off of the road because he had received a text from his now ex-fiance, Mia, telling him that their relationship was over. He had come to the conclusion he'd have to deal with that circumstance at a much later time, right now, he was the prime directive at that particular moment, and not his failed relationship.
It had started raining even harder now. Dexter began looking at his cell, which was now smashed to bits. "Can't catch a break Dex." He said to himself. He was still a few miles away from his cabin, and in the middle of nowhere. Dexter was a tall thin African American, with a slight heavy brow. He was a slight hypochondriac but learned how to keep it suppressed. He was just getting his psychiatric practice started, that was until now. As he continued to move about his now wrecked vehicle, he saw an eerie violet-blue illuminating light coming from deep within the forest shrubs. At his first glance, it appeared to be like an oncoming car, but once it began a pulsating rhythmic motion, he felt the immediate urge to investigate it.
He continued to follow the eerie pulsating light further into the forest searching eagerly for its origin, but what he saw next would dispell all of the strange mythical stories about little green men from outer space. He had come to a small ravine, and resting in its clearing was a small spacecraft with strange alien markings still smoldering from its landing. Dexter didn't know what to think of the matter. Should he continue his would-be scientific investigation, or should he return to his wrecked vehicle and wait for the authorities to arrive. He looked at the spacecraft once more, and his decision was made. He began his descent down into the ravine.
As he continued to make his way down, he recalled his encounter at Big Bears supply store just minutes before his accident. Big Bears had just about everything one could imagine for long cabin stays, but it was also where he heard two very excited hikers babbling on about a meteorite falling from the sky. However, at this point, Dexter knew it wasn't meteorite as they had assumed. it was this space craft instead. Finally reaching the bottom, Dexter moved in to take a closer look of the space vessel, but with great hesitation. Once he got close enough, a small door had opened on the craft and revealed a round metal device about the size of a coffee saucer. Just inside of it was a purplish violet-blue crystal with and yellowish hourglass symbol divided down its center with the lower half being somewhat smaller than the top. As he went to touch it, a larger door on the craft began to open, what stepped out, pale-skinned humanoid-like species with a long thin almost flat skull, and large blackened eyes, covered in burnt orange and red bodysuit uniform and no visible nostrils.
The alien began speaking, but Dexter had backed away almost sorry he had ever begun his investigation. The alien moved around to where the device was resting, removed it, and placed Dexter into a type light blue energy field, lifting him off of the wet grass. although he tried, Dexter could not move, the energy field seemed to stop all of his efforts. The Alien moved its hand, and it brought Dexter even closer to it . with the other hand, it took the device in the palm of its three-digit hand and placed it onto Dexter's left side of his chest. A violet energy field began to form around him now. he could feel energy covering his entire body. In an instant, everything in the area exploded into a quick cosmic energized flash of purple and blue. And, even though all this was happening, Dexter could have sworn he heard someone shouting angrily no.
