Georgio's

Georgio's, in little Italy, was the best place to go to in Millenium city for authentic Italian cuisine. It was dark wooded and low lit. There were red and white checkered table cloths with lit candles on each one. Every dish served was homemade which made the business stand out from most restaurants in the city. Dexter had chosen to walk there from his office after changing his suit. This time he chose to wear a simple two-button peaked lapel black Kiton with a powder blue necktie with silver-gray accents. Since his transformation, Dexter hardly ever drove. Not that he couldn't, but why drive and deal with parking and traffic issues when you could fly through the city. It also gave him a chance to embrace all the sights, sounds, and scents he would encounter with his amplified mental capabilities whenever he walked. Everything was now in stereo.

When he entered the restaurant, he immediately began scanning the room for Mia. The manager had walked him back to where she was, sitting on the terrace. Dexter could already smell her perfume the closer he got to her. Wow, she still wears that ?! He thought to himself. When he finally spotted her, she had her head down looking at her phone sending a message. Dexter wondered if she was texting her boyfriend Devion. She hadn't noticed him come in. "Hello Mia," he said in an even tone getting her attention. She immediately took her eyes away from her phone totally surprised. She got up from her seat and gave Dexter a very warm embrace. Dexter fought the urge to return the favor but hugged her back all the same. "Wow, that's not happiness to see me, how you been Dex?" She said returning to her chair. "I've been good, how about you?" He replied. "You've picked up some weight haven't you." "You been working out?" Dexter just smiled. "Yeah, something like that." The waiter had come to the table and took their order, Dexter asked for a glass of ice water before he would eat. "What's the matter?" "Aren't you hungry?" She asked. Yes, but I just want some water for now." Mia, if you don't mind me asking, what did you have to talk to me about." Straight to the chase huh." Mia had said.

Mia began spinning her tale of her and Devion. Devion Johnston was the latest football superstar who contracted to the Millennium City Silverbacks, and even though she had her own famous status, as the top reporter for the Millennium City Times, their short-lived love affair had become much too overwhelming, even for her standards. Other than that; She came right out with what she really felt. "I missed you Dex." ' Look, I know, I screwed up." You were a good man to me, and I allowed the limelight to overtake that." The waiter had returned with a loaf of freshly baked bread, homemade butter, and olive oil, and Dexter's ice water, and placed it all on the table. "Wow, I really don't know what to say here," Dexter said, as he placed his left hand down on the table. "I know it's a little too much for you to deal with right now," Mia said. "But, once I saw you were back; Dexter leaned up to make sure he heard her exactly. He wondered if she already knew about his alter ego. "what exactly do you mean by saw that I was back?" " Well, I saw you in Century park one afternoon walking with some black Amazonian woman." "At first, I thought you were on a date, but, as time went on, I saw that you weren't. "Mia was referring to Kiyanna Bantu, the South African super-soldier, and one of the founding members of the metahuman group  Alpha Force. Just as she was about to continue, Dexter had thought to take a sip of his water, but just as he did, his glass had slid to his opened left hand directly in front of her. Mia immediately sat up in her chair across from Dexter with a look of pure amazement and shock. "How the hell did you do that !?"
