Dexter's entire body was beginning its process to self destruct. As he continued to ascend far above the city. His body would first turn violet, within seconds, to light blue, and lastly completely white. Seth knew very well what was about to transpire, and all he could do was prepare himself to return to Orion 8, and back into his holding stasis chamber.

The self-destruction mode was a  Sentinel's last resort when dealing with unwanted alien trouble makers such as Seth Vaal. The only drawback to the process was the reanimation procedure Dexter would have to endure once the process was over.

Dexter's entire body exploded in a cosmic burst of energy, Seth himself was gone and was sent back to Orion 8. all that was left from any of the two combatants was a strange light blue mist which held its position 1000 feet above Millennium city.

The uncanny cosmic explosion had sent the Quantum device falling directly back down to the city, and finally landing Downtown between the receiving area of Brocks department store. The strange blue mist began to separate as if it had a life of its own. It began its descent,  traveling back down towards the city in search of its rightful owner.

The strange mist moved throughout the city virtually unnoticed.  It past under moving vehicles, past shoppers, just about everywhere one could imagine. It would not cease until it had reached its objective, and that was the Quantum badge, which was now lying between a few dumpsters in the back of the building. Once this was done, the reanimation process could begin to take place. The eerie mist began to engulf the Quantum badge forming a body. The figure went from all-white to violet, and then finally back to his former self as Dr. Dexter Drake, who at this point was trying to figure out just exactly where he was. Whenever the self destruct mode was activated, there was no telling where he would end up.

Once he gathered his bearings, he gave himself the once over and looked about the alley for onlookers, he then made his way to the main street to hail a cab back to his office. His two o'clock was thirty minutes out which meant he had just enough time to get back to his office which was about 9 or 10 blocks away. Once he got into his cab, his cell was receiving a  text message. It was his ex-fiance, Mia Townsend. She wanted to meet for an early dinner at Georgio's. He ignored the text and returned his iPhone to his inner suit jacket pocket. It had been a while since last they talked face to face. In fact, the last conversation he had with her was her leaving the message that took his sights off the road, sending his life spiraling into what it was now. Besides, He had read somewhere that she was dating  Millennium city's star running back for the Silverbacks, Devion Johnston. So, he had done all he could to avoid her since his return. His six-month training on Orion 8 had helped him with that. But why was she trying to contact him now, and better yet, why hadn't he removed her from his iPhone's contact list? As he pondered the thought, it just so happened that the driver was passing Century park. The proper authorities seemed to be handling things with the clean up from his bout with Seth. He looked back to his watch and told the driver to step on it. He ignored his iPhone once more because Mia was calling him again.
