"How did you do that !?" Dexter couldn't answer. He didn't know how himself. At that point, all he could think about was exiting the scene with great haste. "Mia, I'm sorry but I have to go." " I will explain later." "Wait Dex answer me!' Mia yelled out. "Where are you going?" But Mia's pleads would go on unheard as Dexter darted out of Georgio's in an almost state of confusion. He stood out front and scanned the street, for what he had no idea, his immediate thoughts, and reasoning was escaping him. but, once he looked to the south of him, everything came to him all too easily. He needed to go to Omnicorp towers.

He darted into the alley behind Georgio's, placing his right hand on the left side of his chest. in a quick cosmic flash of blue and purple, he was the Sentinel of the earth once more. He was already in flight mode as he rocketed out of the alley, heading towards Omnicorp towers. Mia was coming out the front of the restaurant and began searching for Dexter but instead, she watched as the Sentinel of the earth flying in the air, just over Georgio's. She didn't say anything, she just continued to look towards the sky as the Sentinel faded from her view. After that, she went back into Georgio's to finish her meal. Now, somehow, it was beginning to make some sense. His extended vacation, the body, and now the sliding glass of water. Yes, things were much different about her ex-lover, and someway he, Dexter, and the Sentinel were tied together. All she could say under breath was "Yea Dexter, much later."

Grafter was just putting the finishing touches on his latest invention. A missile specifically designed to disrupt cosmic energy. It stood on the roof of the Raddison Plaza hotel. The evening engineer allowed Grafter to bring his creation up to the service elevator away from nosey onlookers. He had just seen the Sentinel rocketing by, and heading for Omnicorp tower. It was a single firing missile launcher set to fire upon any cosmic energy signature that crossed is infrared scanners. Suddenly Grafter was interrupted by his engineering friend. "Say Doc, you gonna be much longer?" Grafter gave him a very disdain look. 'Yes, I'm just about done here." Grafter switched on the automatic firing button and left the roof and headed back to his van parked behind the hotel.

Dexter was lying completely naked on a slender retractable bed deep inside a large circular like a metal tube. It kind of reminded him of something he'd seen on the T.V.Show Star Trek., but, what it actually was, was a specialized CT scanner that could scan a body, and tell one exactly where any problems would have been, but in Dexter case, there was nothing wrong. "You're clean Dex," Jones said from inside the operations room into the lab's com system. "Are you sure?" Dexter replied. The green, red and blue lights danced on his body from head to toe, but Jones could find nothing. Everything was still in working order. Years ago, when Jones had first scanned him, the scanner picked up that when the Sentinel suit was activated, that it was actually a living organism, and that its purpose was to cosmically empower, assist, and protect his good friend at all cost.

As Dexter's testing was coming to a close, two of the Alpha Force team members had come into the booth. Trick-shot, the teams Archery master, and Gideon, six foot six indestructible teen-aged powerhouse. They were just coming in from patrol. Things are pretty cool, knock on wood. Trick--Shot knocked on Gideon's massive right shoulder. "Heyyyy!" He replied. "What's going on here," Trick-Shot asked. "Dex is now moving inanimate objects.." Jones replied. "Whoa!" "Now that's deep," Gideon replied.

After chatting with a few more of Alpha Force's team members, Dexter and Jones took the specialized elevator to the roof to speak further. "You know, one day, you're going to have to take me to this Orion 8," Jones said. " Honestly, I'm not even sure if it's possible, well outside of them snatching you up in some type time continuum," Dexter said laughing a little. Just as he was about to finish his comment, Dexter heard an unfamiliar sound. He looked to the east of he and Jones position, and sitting on the rooftop of the Raddison Plaza hotel was some type of guided missile with a blinking yellow light. "'What'cha got Dex?" Jones asked looking in the same direction. "What the hell ?" He too could see the machine, thanks to his cybernetic implants in his eyes. "I'll check it out. Dexter said." In a town filled with wayward metahumans, it could be just about anything ." But what he didn't know, was it 'just being anything, was very far from the truth.
