With little to effort, Dexter had begun ripping the Exoskeleton suit off of Grafter as if he were peeling seedless Sunkist orange. Grafter was doing his best to fight back, but since his exo-suit was severely damaged and offline, there was nothing he could do but accept it. "I'll kill you one way or another Drake! This isn't the end my friend! Grafter barked, and hissed, as he sat on the carpeted floor of the emptied office. The exo-suit was totally demolished and in large shard-like pieces all about the office floor. "You know Grafter, I have always figured you to be a smart man, but what you fail to realize is, that there is nothing man-made that can that destroy the Sentinel alien technology," Dexter said to him as he began to levitate from off the floor to take flight. "Maybe one day you'll figure that out ." And with that, Dexter flew out the hole from whence he'd thrown his adversary through, and heading towards Omnicorp towers. Grafter could only watch as his very capable foe had left him. Suddenly, and without warning, a large energy field had materialized directly in front of him. Grafter had covered his eye's from its brightness. Had Drake returned to finish him off? But, inside the energy field was none other than Seth Vaal, leader of the galactic hoard. Grafter was terrified of the large hideous reptilian alien like humanoid creature standing before him. " Come with me earthling, for it appears that we have the same problem." Grafter didn't know what to think at this point. should he risk going with this hideous being from another world, or should he run for his life? But judging by the condition of his now shredded exoskeleton, and the boastful words of Drake, referring to the power of his sentinel uniform, his decision to leave with the alien being had arrived at him a lot easier to make. "Can you give me the power to destroy him?" Grafter asked. "Heh heh", I will do that, and so much more. Seth Vaal replied. He took Grafters arm, lifted him from the floor, and they both disappeared within the energy field.
"What exactly is this thing suppose to tell you," Mia said into the intercom, as she lay wrapped in a medical sheet just outside the specialized cat scanner. "Well for one, it's going to tell me exactly what's going on in your body. Are you ready ?" Jones asked from the control room. "I guess so" And with that, the exam began. The slender bed began it's retracting process with Mia on it lying perfectly still as Jones suggested. They were just a few minutes into the scanning process when Dexter had arrived in the booth. "How is she?" "Will she be okay?" Dexter said concerned, mainly because he was the last person Mia was with before her strange flu-like symptoms had begun. Ever since he took on the Sentinel role, he had done everything in his power to avoid direct human contact, well, everyone but Grafter. But that was mostly on Grafter's end. "We're just getting started." Where have you been, I thought you were bringing her over. Jones asked. "Unfortunately I had a little run-in with Grafter again. Dexter replied. "Wow that dude has it in for you doesn't he," Jones said. "Yeah, about as much as that Psycho clown has for you," Dexter replied. Touche' Jones said. Psycho the killer clown was a sadistic mercenary who used clown like toys to match Jones own specialized arsenals and tactical gear.
Grafter and Seth Vaal re-materialized on Seth's cloaked star cruiser which was orbiting Earth. "Where are we." Grafter said as he looked about his surroundings. He could see the earth and walked over to the window of the cruiser. Seth Vaal watched Grafter marveling at the earth from the ships' position. Your world is beautiful, it is a shame that it must be destroyed. Grafter turned to his inner stellar host. "Destroyed?" "Why are you trying to destroy the earth?" Grafter asked. "My task is to retrieve the power of the Quantum to its rightful owner." "As long as your earth dweller holds it, the earth and everything in it will be destroyed, but that is not why we have come to my ship this day." "You want to destroy this Drake as you call him yes!" "More than you can ever know." Grafter replied as he moved closer to Seth. "Follow me, I shall give you this power." Seth took Grafter to the lower parts of the strange starship vessel. It had a musty old smell all about it, but it was hard to tell where the stench originated from. They eventually ended up in a holding space on the back half of the ship. Seth retrieved a small cage like box from some surrounding boxes with strange markings. "Here is what you will need to defeat this Drake. "What am I supposed to do with this? Grafter asked taking the item. "Open it, and you shall see." Grafter flipped the boxed item over and over, attempting to find a way to open it. Seth Vaal remained totally silent as he watched Grafter flip the box like a lab monkey trying his best to open something to get a treat. Finally, Grafter had found the opening. Once he got it opened, he saw its contents. it appeared to be a black shiny ball, but once he saw it moving he began to worry. "What is this thing? " But, before he could get another word out, the black ball like creature was leaping out of its box, and on to Grafters torso. "Get this thing off of me!" Grafter screamed, but his pleads and screams would go unheard, and if Seth had a mouth, he would be smiling. The black ball like creature had made its way around to Grafter lower spine. Grafter tried his best to get the creature off, but could not. Once the creature found its target, it inserted its black stinger in, and Grafter screamed in unbearable pain.
