As the weeks went on, Daniel was using his superpowers every chance he could. reading about himself in the times had lit a sort of fire underneath him. Where ever there was a meta-human issue, he was there. He had even bumped into the Sentinel a few times, but he was so fast that the Sentinel had only seen a glimpse of him. Pinnacle was just that powerful He was the surviving son of Millennium city, and he was just about ready for his triumphant return. After finally putting out several fires created by the Jamaican meta-human Bloodfire, Daniel headed over to Miller's junkyard for his specialized tools. He was still wearing his homeless attire when he circled the main yard,  still smelling of soot from the fires he had help extinguished. "Mill man!" He yelled out as he landed with a large thundering boom which shook the entire yard. Theodore Miller the junkyard's owner had come running out from his run down shack of an office. He was an older caucasian with mangled grey hair. to the untrained eye,  he looked like he had fallen on hard times. His clothes may have been old and raggedy, but he was a happy man with himself, and the junkyard was his dynasty. "Well, I'll be." "Where the hell have you been?" Miller said removing the small unlit cigar from his lips. Daniel was walking up towards him. "How have you been," Daniel asked him. "What can I do ya for big guy?" Miller asked him. "Need fixing up, think you can give an old friend a hand?" "Sure thing big guy, com'on in and take a seat, "I'll have ya looking your normal self again in no time." With that Daniel and Miller walked into his office to get started on his triumphant come back. The second coming of the Captain.

Mia was at her desk thinking about her and Dexter. The reboot of their blissful love affair was back on. But, it's what happened next that would once again alter the very aspects of what they were trying to rebuild. She had begun to feel somewhat nauseated, and immediately arose from her desk and ran frantically to the executive bathroom. Two other women were emerging out in deep casual conversation. She abruptly pushed her way past them both and headed to one of the free stalls. She dropped to the floor and began to vomit continuously in forceful heaves. The action had taken so much out of her, that afterward, she continued to sit on the floor. She put her hand up to her forehead. Please tell me I'm not pregnant. She said under breath. She returned her head to the coolness of the stool.

Soon afterward, she was in the Pegasus drug store purchasing a pregnancy test. A few people had recognized who she was because of her short term relationship to Devion. she knew she should have called Dexter, but if she was pregnant, he would be the second to know. she wanted to be the first. A few minutes later, she was standing in her bathroom looking at the application stick she had just urinated on, making sure that she followed the directions to the "T".

"Negative"? "What the hell"? She was dumbfounded. She had all the symptoms of a woman in her first weeks of pregnancy, and yet she wasn't pregnant? None of this made sense. She finally decided to call Dexter to alert him as to what was transpiring. All she heard him say was "I'm on my way".

Sometime later, Dexter had arrived at Mia's condo unit which rested right in the heart of the city. She loved being closer to the action, and the Times. By the time Dexter had arrived, Mia was lying on her side on her couch. she had given him a set of keys just in case of emergency's, which, surprisingly, this was. He came in and went directly over to her touching her back ever so gently. She immediately turned over in an almost half sleep state. "Hey, babe." She said with a sort of half smile. "what's going on?" He asked. "What are your symptoms." He continued. "Well, other than the continuous flow of vomiting, I'm starting to feel like I have the flu." She replied. "Flu-like symptoms ?" "Oh Damn!" Dexter said very low, mainly because it sounded all too familiar.
