After the awful year, the 4 brave girls had empowered upon them, they decided to throw a new year party. A month before, Aria had discovered about the book and believed Ezra was criminal, leading her on only to get more facts. As the evening went by, people were arriving every second for the party, including Ezra. Aria didn't notice but Spencer did, so she approached him with anger filling her body.
"What...are you doing here?" Spencer spoke quietly, making sure Aria couldn't hear her.
"Erm...is Aria here?" Ezra asked.
"Yes...but if she sees you, she will scratch your eyes out." Spencer replied, unknown that Aria had been visiting Ezra and slipped with him...more than once.
"I don't think she will" Ezra said laughing slightly. Even though they weren't together they hadn't told anyone about their slips apart from Emily.
"Fine, come in but I know her and she will bite your head off" Spencer said letting him before walking off to be with Toby. Ezra walked towards Aria who noticed him.
"What are you doing here, I thought we agreed that the other night was a mistake?"
"Yes, I know but I thought that after it we were going to work through it?"
"No Ezra, we can't, because every time I think about it I then think about how we met and all the lies...that you told"
"Aria, believe me, I would go back and change it if I could" Ezra began.
"Well, you can't so...." Aria interrupted, Ezra looked at her seriously while she was looking back with a disappointing smile.
"5 MINUTES TILL NEW YEAR!" Mike shouted whilst sat in front of the TV with Mona. Everybody had a boyfriend, girlfriend or someone to kiss when the bell tolled at midnight, apart from Ezra and Aria. A couple of minutes later Emily approached Aria with Paige.
"Why don't you just kiss him?" Emily said, Aria looked at her with a petty look before everyone started to count down. Aria went to stand next to Ezra;
"5, 4, 3, 2, 1 HAPPY NEW YEAR!" Everyone shouted, including Aria, who leant up and kissed Ezra, he kissed back. When they pulled away, they smiled at each other and Ezra reached for Aria's hand.
"New year, new us, agreed?" Ezra said.
"Agreed" Aria replied, as Ezra wrapped his arm around Aria pulling her into a side hug, when Spencer spotted them.
"Aria, what are you doing?" She shouted, walking over. Aria looked at her as she gave her the 'Spencer' face of disappointment.
"Don't...look at me like that...new year, new us" Aria replied with pauses. She looked up at Ezra and smiled as he kissed her head.
