Chapter 1: Welcome to Mystic Academy

You'd think the son of a superhero wouldn't be scared of going to a school full of his kind.

Ha! Well you don't really know me, then.

I skidded to a stop in front of the school entrance, followed by my dad, the Flash. "Well, Maroon," Flash said, placing a hand on my shoulder. "This is first year and this school, well, I hope you do well." "Dad," I said, sighing. "Your one of my teachers. And- heck- I do pretty well grade wise." The flash smiled, speeding into the building just before the bell rang.

"Holy bats batman!- Wait- wrong superhero.." I sped into the school building- passing by other students- doing well- Got through the courtyard doors and-

CRASH!

I hit a rock on the path, but thankfully I caught myself before I could tumble down the path. "Some son of flash you are, Maroon." That voi- Oh no.. Saturn.. "So, Maroon, what's your pet?" "A-" Saturn shook his head and smiled. "Like I said, aren't you supposed to be really fast or something? Shouldn't you have.. done all this already? I mean, come on." Saturn and his friend laughed, taking my stuff and throwing it on the ground. "How long will this take you to pick up, Maroon?" He laughed, walking away with his group of friends. Man I hate him so much..

I looked up, and saw a girl running over. She helped me pick my things up then smiled. "Thanks." I said, exchanging a smile. "No problem, I'm Taylor and this is Benji." Benji came out from behind her and barked. I nodded, Magic flying onto my shoulder, hooting happily. Magic hooted again, Benji returning it with a bark. We ended up exchanging each other's numbers, and headed to our dorms.
