Chapter 4: Magic Quest

Taylor: Are you serious Maroon?

Issac: I have a different Idea. And it's cool.

Me: Come onn, it's cool! It also makes sense..

[Issac has changed group chat name to 'Magic Quest Tonight??']

Me: I'm so in

Taylor: I am also

Issac: Awesome, come at 2:00 P.M.

Taylor: Wait- can I bring two friends?

Issac: Sure. I have 5 tickets anyway.

Me: Cool

Taylor: Bye

Me: Bye

Issac: Bye

What? I haven't introduced you to my roommates? No? Oh.. Shoot I forgot. First of there's Carter Bloom, son of one of blue lanterns. Then there's Albus Q, son of the blue beetle. And last but not least, Cedric, son of Doctor Strange. Not bad, right? I mean Cedric is alright.. Albus doesn't talk much, and Carter is always out somewhere with his friends.. I could really only call Carter and Cedric my friends, them being the only ones out of my three roommates that try making contact with me daily. Anyway, on to the exciting part.

First off, getting the first tickets of the year is extremely hard. It's basically a virtual world you walk into, with a team of 5 people. No team of 5? That equals no entry to the playing area. Just remember, it's all a virtual world. No death is real, and the injuries don't really exist. But the experience, yeah, that exists. Oh the death thing? Oh yeah, right. So the two teams fight against each other, using their powers of course, and each player granted three lives. One your three hearts run out, you 'die'. Remember, not actually death! Virtual world people! Lucky for you, a teammate could donate a life to you. But you loose that, death. Bad thing is, that teammate looses the life they donated. So.. only you win on that part. The game is brand new, so we are one of the first players to play it. The game lasts all day, so your day will be pretty fun. Hopefully we win.. Or missing all the classes won't be worth it.

I stood leaned on the wall outside the magic quest entrance with Issac, playing virtual checkers on my phone. "Seriously, Maroon?" "You keep playing it?" "Yeah," I said, frowning as I lost again, "Just because you're the loser doesn't mean you can't try again." Taylor and her two friends came a few minutes later. I looked past Taylor and saw her brother, Harmony (literally a girl version of Saturn), Saturn, (himself), Oak (Saturn's stupid friend, and just like him), and Margie (Harmony's sister) coming towards the entrance. So we're versing them. Piece of cake. We headed inside and got our gear. I blinked, and in a moment, we were in our base. A... cave?

"Go for Margie," Taylor said smirking, "She has the power of mud. All she can do is literally shoot mud at us." We all chuckled. There are orbs, which make it much easier to win. If it's taken, all the team members go down a life. Once a life is lost, at any time, you get teleported back to your base, AKA your start point.

When we got to their base, a castle, AKA the red base, we hid along the side of it. Saturn, Oak, and Taylor's brother came out with Harmony. "If we storm their base," Harmony said smiling cheekily, "We'll come out on top. So, let's go." They ran towards our base, going the wrong way. Geez.. We made sure they were gone, and entered the castle. Margie was inside.. doing her nails. I super sped- is that even a word?- and grabbed the orb. The rest of the team and I kept attacking Margie until she lost a life, pretty fun actually.

"One down, four to go!" Taylor said, smiling. There were sudden yells- "THEY'RE IN OUR BASE, GET THEM, GET THEM!" I looked around a pillar at the entrance, and aw them coming. Haily and Issac were behind them, then we started attacking. First Harmony, then Saturn, then Oak, and finally Taylor's brother, Tye. We won, clearly proving we were stronger then them. You know- team wise- teamwork!

We took off our goggles, and Harmony was clearly in raged, and started cursing at us. So mature.. We came out of the room, and sat on couches in the lobby. "So, wanna get pizza?" I asked. "Heck yeah!" We all screamed. We went to Pizza Hut and just ordered some cheese pizzas and hung out. Being with other people is much better than just sitting alone all day. Once we finished our pizzas, we went to our dorms for lights out

When I got to my dorm, Cedric was laying across a couch. "So," He said, putting his controller on his lap. "Who've you been out all day with?" "Oh you know. Issac, Haily, Nix, and Taylor." "You know Mar, you've been hanging out with Taylor a lot lately." Cedric said, smirking. "Do you like her or something?" "No.." I said, my face turning a very light shade of red. "Uh-huh. Anyway, Mar, g'night." "Good night" I said, heading towards my door.
