Chapter 12: A Day To Remember

   I'm not going home for winter break. I mean- i'm not leaving at the same time as everyone else. I have some assignments to finish up before I go (Sigh), along with Carter. But Today, i'm heading to the waterpark with Carter and Colin. Cedric and Albus are going to hang out, and leaving right after they get back. It's Saturday, and everyone leaves Sunday morning (the normal time to leave). Including Taylor, obviously. I gave Magic his food, and headed out to the water park with Colin and Carter.

  Me, Carter, and Colin gave in our tickets and headed through the gate. "Wait- Maroon- you have you bathing suit on already?" Carter asked. "Yeah. I can just super speed from here and back to the dorm, remember? It generates heat since i'm moving that fast anyway." "Right." Carter said, smiling awkwardly. A few minutes later Tyler came in with Harmony and Oak. Phew.. Saturn left early for water vacation. Lucky me. Taylor came in with Nix, Haily, Trent, Henry, and Issac. I waved to Taylor, her waving back. Colin hit the back on my head with a ball of water (thanks magic, you're my best pal.. I mean the power, not my owl..). "Maroon? Are you ok?" Taylor asked, looking into the water where I was. I came up. "Yeah- it was just water in it's liquid form- in the shape of a sphere." I answered, "Plus it was Colin, and he's my friend. I really don't think he has a intention to harm me." "Alright, Good." Taylor said, walking over and getting into the pool. "Taylor, you scared me.." Tyler said, looking at Taylor.

"Huh? How?" She asked.

"You were under there for 10 minutes straight!"

"Really?!"

  "Yeah! I think it's time we go on some water slides, how about you?" Tyler asked, motioning to the water slides. "Yeah!" Taylor said, hopping out of the pool with Tyler. "Well? Are you coming Maroon?" "H-huh? Yeah! I'm coming." I hopped out of the pool, running with them to the water slides. Everyone else followed, noticing where we were going. We all ran to the Flashy Splash (Hey I wonder who that was named after), the fastest ride in the park. A guy pushed me down the water slide. I can go down myself you know.. It played a song, and it was dark. But the lights on the ride lit up in different colors, making up for the darkness. Red, Yellow, White, and pink. At the end of the slide, was a path of water (kinda shaped liked a river) that led to one end of the water park. I saw Taylor up ahead. I think we get out at the end, so I followed a bit behind her. 

  We stayed for hours upon hours, which was loads of fun. After that we all walked to our dorms, clearly tired out. We all headed into our rooms, falling asleep right after our bodies hit the beds. I'll miss my friends, and Mystic academy. I know it's only winter break, but being here all the time and not going home makes you attached to it. 

  I will miss Taylor the most, honestly. We haven't ever not seen each other during the day. I've had a spark with here ever since she helped me pick up my books on the first day of school. It's like I've become.. attached to her. How could I not? She's a great and funny person (OK i'll stop now). Everything in my room faded into black, and I drifted off to sleep.

  The next morning I woke up, Colin and Carter were already outside the school waiting for the bus. Colin stood next to a taller girl, probably his sister Rita (Ew). I put on my normal clothes, (You know them by now, but with pants). I put my somewhat puffy maroon coat on, and went outside. It was so cold, I could see my breath. Why is that so entertaining? I said goodbye to Carter and Colin, them running to the bus straight after. Taylor came out with Tyler, him running to the bus. Taylor came over, and looked up(kinda) at me (i'm like a half a foot or something taller then her by the way). We said goodbye, and she kissed me on the cheek and ran to the bus. "See you after break Maroon!" Before I could respond, she was at her bus. She got on, and sat with Tyler. The bus flew up into the air, and was out of sight. Did I ever mention good old Mystic academy is in the sky? Now I have the biggest crush on Taylor.. I might ask her out on a date after vacation actually..

  After the bus left, I went back inside to my dorm. I took out my next gen. project, taking out my computer as well to type it up. I look out the window. I miss my friends already.. All my life it's been just my family. No family vacations, just training. "You got to be ready." My dad had said one day. "I won't let my family lose to him. He doesn't deserve to win. He's a dark, dark man now. Not who he used to be." He was right, he wasn't. He told me about how he used to be. A kind, loving person who wouldn't let his friends down. He isn't like that now.

I shook my head, staring at my computer screen. I gotta finish this before I leave.. the bus leaves tomorrow. I got that done in about half an hour, moving on to my math assignment. The teacher gave it to everyone who had the ability to super speed. Speedsters are people too! I finished it, going on about the math and science about how my powers worked. My dad told me about that, thankfully.

After I was finished, I went into my room. I packed sets of pajamas, long sleeve shirts, pants, socks, etc, in my black travel bag. I took out my sling bag. I put some books, a rubix cube, my computer, tablet, and a framed picture of me and my friends, in a string bag. Er- I put the framed picture on my suitcase actually.

  I found something else laying on my bed. It was a old brown map. Huh? There was a letter attached, and I ripped it off: 'Dear Mar, Me, Ced, and Colin found this weird looking map. We figured out it was something made by our parents to keep track of people in the school and the dorms. Thought it'd come in handy for you later on. Sincerely, Carter A. Bloom.' "Alright. I'll check it out on the bus." I said, stuffing it into my bag. I went out the dorm, down the flights of stairs (i'm on the 5th floor, by the way), and going out the front door, heading for the entrance of the school.

I met Zip outside the school entrance, and we headed on the bus. "I'm gonna miss Mystic Academy, y'know?" I said, looking out the window. "Yeah.. I will too." Zip said, smiling. I smiled back, then pulled my phone out to text Taylor.

Me: Hey Tay.

Tay💙: Hey Maroon.

Me: How's it at home so far?

Tay💙: Good, why are you asking?

Me: I just wanted to know how you were, k'now?

Tay💙: Oh ok. Gotta go, Bye.

Me: Bye.

I decided to read the other letter attached to the map.

How we found the map:

Colin, Cedric, and Carter are seen going into Cedric's room. "Alright, Ced. Time to clean up this room." The room was a pale brown color, a bunk bed against the wall, covered in stuffed animals and clothes. In the right corner, near the door of the closet, was a pile of dirty clothes that nearly reached the roof. "Er- yeah.. I guess it's time to clean it up." Carter and Cedric begin cleaning the bunk bed, Colin walking over to the pile near the closet door. Colin starts going through the clothes, finding a PS4, Nintendo 64, Fun-Dip packs, stuffed animals, water bottles, pizzas boxes, watches, papers, pencils, and a map.

"Hey, Cedric, what's this?" Colin asks, holding up the old map. "I dunno, Colin.." Cedric says, coming over and taking the map from Colin. "'Property of Bolt, Lestrange, Fist, and Bloo, the Alignments. Enter if you dare'.. Huh.. Who are these people, anyway?" Carter shrugs, taking the map and opening it. A superhero jingle plays, a compass popping out. 'Say the name of the location in which you'd like to see, and i'll open it for you.' "Huh.." Carter said, thinking. "Girls Dormitory, Mystic Academy."

The jingle played again, the layout of the girls' dorms replacing the blank map. Black dots appeared. The dots moved around, showing names of the people in the dormitory. "Hey, look! Harmony is in the lobby. Taylor's in her room with.." Carter squinted, looking closer. "Maroon? What in the name of the corp is he doing there with her.. alone.." The three of them looked at each other, bursting out with laughter. "Maybe he's in there making out with her.." Colin pondered, smirking. The three of them laughed loudly again. "Maybe.. They're doing a assignment? Eating candy together?" "Having a date?" Carter asked, bursting out with laughter.

"Let's go figure this out in the living room.. I'm hungry.." The three left the room, heading into the living room of their dorm.

So I decided to combine 3 chapters. The Alignments Map, Time To Go Home, and a day to remember. I thought instead of having 3 separate chapters, why not just have one? It's also a nice sized chapter, too.
