You could say being a Superhero and flying high above the world is a gift. It isn't, it's mostly the opposite. When I was younger, I would have given up ANYTHING just to save one life. When I was born, my family loved me to death. As I grew older, I got faster. So fast to the point that I refused to run like a- non-super.
I, along with others, became a super before I was even supposed to. I got lucky, but you know what, I would have been fine without any powers at all. You know why?
I have all I need.
------------------------------------
It was the day none of the Allens saw coming. The day I lost things, and when it felt right, the day my best friend became my partner is this over-rated game.
"Sorry I'm late," I said as I closed the door. Taylor rolled her eyes and smiled, "Like always." "Yeah, ironic huh?" "Yeah," She said giving me one of those 'i'm giving you a fake punch but I still love you to death, you stupid speedster' punches. Which are my favorite kinds of punches, because she's the only ones who gives me them.
"So where've you been?" She asked after we were out of the Super Quarters. "Hell. Stupid tsunami.." Taylor held my hand. "Aquaman wouldn't let me bring you and your family to Atlantis. He told me about the past with the speedsters..-" I flinched.
"That wasn't us, my dad I mean. Reverse Flash, Rival, Zoom.. Savatar.." Her grip tightened. "I know it wasn't your family. The Allens and the Wests are perfectly fine,"
"I thought you would.. become my enemy, my rival. But you're not.." She leaned in to kiss me-
"Heeeeeey lovebirds!" Carter said, slapping my back. I was caught off guard and started tumbling down the hill.
"Maroon!" Taylor called after me. "He wasn't ready, was he?" Carter asked nervously. "Carter, no!"
Back to me.
I was still tumbling, a few inches from a tree. Using my brain, (Thanks by the way dad), I knew that I needed to vibrate though the tree. So, I vibrated, ending up on the other side. "You alright, Mar?'
"No, I broke my leg again." "OH SHOOT I'M -" Taylor started laughing like crazy. "You know- he's ok- right?"
"Oh."
I laughed, turning to run up the hill. "Cart, you're a idiot." "W-" Before he could respond, he sat on the ground while I laughed. "What did you-" "That's what you get, Mr."
----------------------------------------
"WATRIKS!" Taylor shouted in the enormous hanger of the Super Quarters, "With me into the tank!" Me, Henry, and the other Watriks went into the large blue tank. "This is.. How the heck did Neal make this thing?" "He's super smart." Henry said,
"Like, 5,000x more than Einstein." "No way?" "Yeah way." "Is it natural or..?" "We don't know. Neal knows, ask him if you like." "I never thought he'd be a .. super. Honestly the kid seemed to pop up at random."
I sighed, "Well that's not-" "Maroon, there's someone on the top of the tank!" Passion called from the front. "Well Henry, duty calls." Henry nodded. "Right, see you."
I sped into the front of the tank. "Yeah?" "Literally on top of the tank," Passion said. "He's sitting up there right now!" "Heey buddy!" The familiar voice chanted through the tank. "Miss me?" I sighed, "For god's sake- why can't he go away?"
"Come up here bud, I just wanna talk." "Maroon n-" Before Passion could finish, I was on the roof face-to-face with Trent. "Where's my love, Maroon?" "She's not yours, she's mine!"
