"You knoooow... it is quite enough here to read," I said to myself, laying out on the front lawn of my house.
"Oh who am I kidding," I muttered, looking around. "Literally, I don't even like reading. I like running! Speaking about running, why haven't I even joined track......?" I sighed, getting up again. "What should I even do it here? It's like the speed force, I guess, but grey.. and boring."
"A radio would really come in use right now," A radio appeared on the lawn, but still, it was grey. "Wh- oh, wow, how convenient," It started playing Castle On A Hill. "Wow.. real convenient.. This is too convenient," I said to myself, watching things I liked appear on the lawn.
I made some water splash my face. "Wake up.. maybe i'm not stone.. maybe I had a anxiety attack and went unconscious or something?" I nodded to myself. "Yeah, Stallion probably doesn't exist.. Ced's dead.."
There was a flash of light, like when I run. "Huh?" Next thing I knew, my dad stood in front of me. With Jay Garrick. "Dad? J-jay?" "Hey, son, how's it going?" "How's it going? I'm trapped in.. what am I trapped in anyway?"
"It's complicated, even we can't comprehend it," Jay said, taking a ice cream cone from the ice cream truck. "Wally likes to call it the 'Speedster's Speed Force,'" "Why?" "It's been awhile since any of us have been in the Speed Force. It's changed, Maroon, since five other speedsters were born. It stretches itself to the the amount it needs to hold,"
My dad nodded. "Now there's me, Jay, Wally, Jessie, Bart, You, Katelyn, Zachary, Payton, and Olivia." "That's a lot.." "Yeah, and the Speed Force needs to accommodate for all of us, in case we need to go in at the same time,"
"But how did I run into the speed force..?" "After your friend's death, I think," Jay stated. My heart sank. I was just getting over my best friend's death, that made it worse. "Tay.. I..-" My dad put his hand on my shoulder. "I know, Maroon, but your going to find a way to bring her back,"
"That's how it always happens, right?" Jay nodded. "Yep. You loose them, but you always get them back. I guess the Speed Force likes to give us breaks once in awhile, right Barry?" "Yeah, seems that way,"
"We can run you out, Maroon," Jay said, finishing the ice cream cone. "We just need you to use all you've got," "Which, he's never used before. He's fourteen, he can't tap in like we can," Jay nodded. "Maroon, run behind us. Once you collect enough speed, run out of the speed force. Run to her Maroon, run."
I nodded.
Jay put on his hat, and my dad put on his mask. "You ready, Maroon?" My dad asked. "As ready as I'll ever be," After that, we ran, as fast as we could. Soon enough, I felt I had enough speed. I saw my dad and Jay stop, and before Jay stopped running, he told me something.
"Run Maroon, keep running. Run to her. Because there's nothing more important then your best friend,"
I ran out of the Speed Force, and I knew where she was.
Hey, Huffle here. It's been a long time since I added a A/N to the end of a chapter, huh? I will try to give characters like Wally West, Jesse Quick, Bart Allen, Barry Allen, Cisco, and Jay Garrick a chance to make an appearance in the remaining chapters.
Hope you enjoyed the chapter!
~Sincerely, Huffle
