Way Down We Go

Logan was not having a good morning. Originally he and Yang planned to take the HYDRA Jeep to the next airship but the engine broke down. Right now, Logan was hitting the Jeep with a shovel as he was yelling, "Fuck! Fuck! Fuck! Fuck! Fuck! Fuck!" Finally Yang and Laura came as Yang asked, "What  is going on, Logan?" He answered, "The engine won't start. I tried to fix it, but the damn thing won't work." Yang looked at him as she saw Laura grab another shovel and join in with her biological father. Yang chuckled, "Like father, like daughter. I guess I'll be joining you." She put on her gauntlets and joined with her boyfriend and daughter in wrecking the HYDRA Jeep. "What are you three doing?" asked Jennifer behind them. The three turned to see her in a lavender polyester pajama pants and a white tank top exposing her midriff. Logan replied, "The engine's not working. Decided to express some rage." Jennifer laughed at that. Logan and Laura dropped the shovels as Yang smiled, "As much as this was fun and a nice warmup, we can still go to Mistral by motorcycle." Logan sighed, "I don't have mine since I sold mine to pay my rent to the Hulk Gang." Yang assured, "Don't worry, I think I saw another one in the garage." Jennifer smiled, "You three better hurry before Taiyang shows up." Logan shrugged, "Let's get to it."

Logan was still dressed up in his 'Old Man Logan' clothes but instead of the jacket with the fluffy collar, he wore the brown trench coat with the hat. Yang then unwrapped a tarp showing her Bumblebee and a white Mustang motorcycle. Taiyang, Jennifer, Laura, and Doreen came out to see them. "I don't remember saying that you were ready," scolded Taiyang. Yang asked cockily, "Oh yeah? You're gonna try and stop me?" Logan raised a brow as Jennifer only held up her arms in surrender. Taiyang chuckled, "No. I think I'm still too sore after our last fight. I just wanted a better goodbye than a letter. And, I also have a question for you." Yang turned to see him as Taiyang asked, "Where are you going?" Yang asked curiously, "What do you mean?" Taiyang answered, "Well, despite asking him numerous times not to, I know that Qrow told you where your mother's been at these days. I know how much you wanna see her. I've stopped you in the past, but I won't anymore. And we both read the note. We know your sister's headed to Mistral. So, where are you going?" Yang, Logan, and Laura look at the tarp as they made their decision together.

Logan, Yang, and Laura took a short stop at a gas station. Logan and Yang were filling up their motorcycles while Laura was on a kiddie horse ride. Although her face didn't show it, she was enjoying it. Then the ride stopped. Laura angrily shook the coin machine, trying to get it to work again. Finally, she snikted her claws to attack the coin slot machine, but Logan stopped her. He reached into his pocket and showed her a coin. Logan put the coin in the slot as he said, "Last ride. You're welcome." The ride activated again as Laura scowled at Logan and he went to Yang. "How come she likes you more than me?" asked Logan. Yang shrugged, "Don't know." Logan asked, "Is your bike filled up?" Yang nodded, "Yeah, yours?" Logan nodded as they watched Laura on the kiddie horse. Yang walked to Laura as the young girl turned to see her. "How come you don't like Dad?" asked Yang gently. Laura looked down as she answered, "There was this one man that looked like him that always haunts my dreams." Yang assured, "Well, Dad is not that man. Even if he doesn't show it, he wants to have a chance to get to know you. So you're gonna spend time with your daddy. Okay?" Laura nodded, "Yes, mommy." Yang walked toward Logan and said, "And that's how you do it." Logan asked, "Do what?" Yang smiled, "Laura's gonna spend time with her daddy." The kiddie horse stopped as Laura got off and walked toward them. Yang asked, "Are you ready for adventure?" Laura nodded. Yang turned to Logan and said, "It's your turn to give her a ride." She went to her motorcycle as Laura looked at Logan. Laura then hugged his arm as she whispered, "Daddy?" Logan smiled as he nodded with acknowledgement. Laura then buried her face in his sleeve as Logan patted her head.

Later, the three were on a boat going on its way to Mistral. Logan personally has never been there before, but he heard it was last grand hope for survivors. Also where Professor Charles Xavier's safe house will also be at. Laura was in between them. Despite being born artificially, she has fully accepted Logan and Yang as her parents. Yang looked at picture of her dad with his old team. Logan and Yang held Laura's hands as the ship sailed. Logan could only imagine what could happen next.

Mister Sinister scowled as he looked over the cleanup at the Transigen Facility in the Essex Corporation. Donald Pierce and Doctor Zander Rice came over. "What is it?" asked Mister Sinister. "X-23 is in the news," replied Zander. Donald smirked, "Kinda sorta. She killed a drug trafficking pimp." Zander frowned, "Even though X-23 didn't appear on camera, I can tell X-23 did the damage." Mister Sinister nodded before ordering, "Pierce, inform all underworld contacts I have decided to place a bounty on both the Wolverine and X-23. Ten million lien goes to the one who captures them both dead or alive." Donald nodded, "Yes, sir." He left as Mister Sinister ask Zander, "Do we still have spare Wolverine DNA samples for the 24?" Zander answered, "Yes." Mister Sinister ordered, "Get to work on it, and also include the DNA sample from my office." Zander nodded, "Yes, sir." Zander left as Mister Sinister continue to watch the cleanup. This is only a setback for when my master's true plans come into fruition, thought Mister Sinister. Then the Age of Apocalypse will rise!
