The Night The Heroes Fell Part 4

Wolverine and Ruby Rose jumped down to defend Pyrrha Nikos from the Grimm Nevermore that managed to get inside the Amity Colosseum. Ruby grabbed one of Penny's swords as Pyrrha asked in shock, "Ruby? Logan?" Ruby yelled, "Leave her alone!" The Nevermore rises up and circles around the arena before lunging back down. Ruby holds Penny's sword defensively. Suddenly, the Nevermore gets pinned down by a barrage of rocket lockers, and screeches out in pain before going unconscious. The lockers then open up, revealing the weapons of fellow huntsmen and huntresses in training. Wolverine sees them all grab their weapons. The students are then suddenly shaken when the Nevermore starts to get back up. Ren then leaps up into the air and uses the blades of his weapons to slash at the Nevermore. Arslan Altan uses her rope dart to swing down and grab the towering Yatsuhashi from the ground. Sage also leaps up into the air, and Nora runs up to the Nevermore's head and hit it with Magnhild in its hammer form. When Arslan reaches peak height, she lets go of Yatsuhashi, who is then joined by Sage, as the two broadsword wielders slash down and decapitate the Nevermore, causing it to dissipate into black particles. Wolverine nods to them as he turned to see a tearful Pyrrha kneeling down while holding a cloth piece that belonged to Penny. "Ruby, I..." started Pyrrha with more tears swelling up. "I'm so sorry." Ruby nodded forlornly, "Me too." Then she suddenly turned angry as she added, "But it wasn't your fault." Jaune agreed, "She's right." He walked over to her with Pyrrha's Milo and Akouo and handed them to her. Jaune said, "Whoever was on that microphone... they're the ones that did this. And we have to make sure they don't take anyone else." Pyrrha stands back up and takes her weapons back from Jaune, the two of them exchanging determined expressions. They then look over to Ruby, who smiles at the impressive ensemble of students. Their moment is cut short when they notice hippogriff-like Grimm land on top of the colosseum. They fly towards the group of students. Ren recognized, "Griffins." Wolverine snikted his claws as he roared at the incoming Griffins. Neptune asked, "Anybody got a plan of attack?" Ruby turned to Sun and said, "Sun! I need your Scroll!" Sun used his tail to toss his scroll to Ruby who catches and she pressed a button to summon her locker. The locker opened up to reveal her Crescent Rose. Before she could get to it, a Griffin lands on it and roars at Ruby. Wolverine was about to lunge at it but the Griffin was scared away by a gunshot. Wolverine turned to see it was Professor Port holding his blunderbuss-axe with Doctor Oobleck with his own weapon. "Students! I think it would be best for you to leave," ordered Oobleck. Ruby began, "But we did a-" Oobleck replied, "Miss Rose! This day will surely go down in Remnant's history. I'd prefer it if my students could live to tell about it." Ruby nods as she twirled her Crescent Rose into its scythe form. "Let's go!" exclaimed Ruby. She and the others including Wolverine ran for the exit.

Everyone ran to the docking bay just in time to see General James Ironwood effortlessly defeat a Beowolf. "He's sure a badass when he's being a hard ass," muttered Wolverine. Flynt nodded, "That's General Ironwood for ya." Ruby asked, "What's going on!?" Ironwood answered, "Grimm are crawling all over the city. The White Fang's invaded Beacon, and to make matters worse, some... vagabond has seized one of my ships. Until we regain command, the skies are out of our control. So I'm..." He blasted a Grimm Creep for interrupting him as he finished, "...going to take it back." Ironwood turns to leave into an dropship but Jaune asked, "What should we do?" Ironwood turns to them and answered, "You have two choices. Defend your Kingdom and your school... or save yourselves." Everyone looked at each other and murmured to one another as Ironwood leaves. Sun spoke up, "I mean... come on!" Jaune declared, "We can take a ship to Beacon!"

When the airship began to take off, the next thing Wolverine and the others saw was Ironwood's dropship falling from sky. Suddenly Ruby went running to the bay doors of the Air Bus. Wolverine and Sun asked, "Ruby! What are you doing!?" She didn't answer as she used her speed semblance to glide herself down to the Amity Colosseum. "Good luck, Ruby," smiled Wolverine. "I hope to God you know what you're doing." He then turned around to look at the front windshield as he muttered, "I'm coming for you, Sabretooth."

When Wolverine finally got to Beacon Academy, he was on a rampage. Killing Grimm and HYDRA soldiers. He ran toward a Grimm Beowolf as he crouched down to spin his adamantium claws to slice its legs and get back up to stab it underneath its chin. Wolverine got into berserker rage as his eyes turned red and his claws had red spiritual fire. He then spun around, slicing off Grimm and finally finished as he roared, "WHERE IS SABRETOOTH?!!!" Wolverine breathed heavily as he sniffed the air and snarled as he tried to pick up Sabretooth's scent. Finally Wolverine got it and began running with every ounce of energy he had.
