Present Day
Logan bolted over to the arena where Yang Xiao Long was surrounded by the Atlesian droids and soldiers and Mercury Black was clutching his leg with Emerald Sustrai at his side. "Stop Logan," commanded Professor Charles Xavier via telepath to Logan. "There is nothing you can do in this situation. The best thing you can do now is let Yang surrender to the Atlesian troops." Logan countered, "That guy attacked first! It was his own fault! Yang would never intentionally break his leg!" Xavier replied, "I understand, Logan, but fighting against the Atlas troops will not help Yang at this time." Logan calmed down as he sighed, "You're right. Punching my way out of this won't help anything. What do you think I should do?" Xavier answered, "Help Yang the right way."

Victor Creed walked over to abandoned warehouse where he met up Cinder Fall, Emerald Sustrai, and Mercury Black repairing his leg. His new appearance kind of unsettled Emerald and Mercury but tried not to stare. Victor smirked as he applauded, "Great show. Ever considered putting that acting talent to stage?" Mercury still continued to repair his leg as he watched the news and Emerald suddenly turned it off. "Hey, I was watching that!" protested Mercury. Emerald replied, "Shut up!" Mercury asked, "Is this how you treat a patient?" In response, Emerald twisted the screwdriver he was using causing him to wince, "Ah, too tight!" Cinder ordered, "Enough. Our Mercury put on a wonderful show. He was quite brave." Mercury said, "These things aren't exactly cheap, you know." He resumed to fix himself as Emerald asked, "So, what's next?" Cinder grinned, "You and I will ensure that our next matchup goes just as smoothly." Mercury asked, "What about me?" Cinder answered, "You get to lay low until the end. We wouldn't want people to see you on your feet and have this all be for naught, now would we?" Mercury nodded, "Can do." The three left as Cinder asked, "Is there anything you want to tell me, Victor?" Victor replied, "All the people of the super villain alliance are at their places. Hammer Falls, Vista Verde, even at Vale. They're getting tired of waiting." Cinder scowled, "Tell them that once I give the signal, we'll give the Avengers and all the huntsmen and huntresses something else to think about."

Meanwhile At Beacon Academy
Logan could not believe what he was hearing. General James Ironwood had just disqualified Yang Xiao Long as well as the rest of Team RWBY of the Vytal Festival Tournament. He snarled as he heard Ironwood say, "You all seem like good students, and the staff here at Beacon are fully aware that you would never lash out the way you did... under normal circumstances. What I believe and hope this to be is nothing more than the result of stress and adrenaline. When you're out on the battlefield, your judgment can become clouded in an instant. Sometimes you see things that simply aren't there. Even after the fight is past..." Yang protested, "But I wasn't-" Ironwood interrupted sternly, "That's ENOUGH!" Everything went silent as Ironwood concluded, "The sad truth is, whether it was an accident or an assault, it doesn't matter. The world saw you attack an innocent student. They've already drawn their own conclusions. And it's my job to inform you that... you are disqualified." Ironwood walks out to meet with an angry Logan. Ironwood said nothing as Logan walked past him while giving him the middle finger. Ironwood paid no mind since he could understand Logan was upset and angry. He entered inside of Team RWBY's dorm room as he sat down next to a saddened Yang. Yang asked, "You guys believe me, right?" Logan held her hand and Ruby said, "Duh!" Weiss replied, "You're hotheaded, but not ruthless." Yang turned to Blake who hasn't said anything and asked, "Blake?" Blake turned her gaze away as she said, "I want to believe you..." Ruby asked shockingly, "Huh!?" Weiss demanded, "What's that supposed to mean?" Yang's eyes widened as tears began to form. Hurt, she asked, "Blake?" Weiss demanded, "How can you say something like that? Yang would never lie to us!" Blake glanced at Weiss before explaining, I had someone very dear to me change. It wasn't in an instant, it was gradual - little choices that began to pile up. He told me not to worry. At first they were accidents, then it was self-defense. Before long, even I began to think he was right. This is all just... very familiar." Yang's tears flowed down her face as Blake continued, "But you're not him. And you've never done anything like this before. So... I want to trust you. I will trust you. But first, I need you to look me in the eyes and tell me that he attacked you. I need you to promise me that you regret having to do what you did." Yang wiped her tears and said as calmly as possible, "I saw him attack me, so I attacked back." Blake nods as she said with a short smile, "Okay. Thank you." Yang looked down as she said, "I think I'm gonna rest up." Logan nods as he kissed the top of her head and Yang hugged while putting her head on his chest. The three girls stood up as Blake said, "We'll get out of your hair." They left as Logan continued to comfort Yang. "Thanks, Logan," said Yang. "Somehow you always seem to know what to do." Logan nodded, "I guess I do. I love you and I trust you more than anyone in the world." Yang let out a small smile as they continued their close moment. Then Logan's scroll vibrated and he pulled it out to see it was Ororo. "I don't mean to intrude your your moment," apologized Ororo. "But it is urgent that you come. We might have a situation on our hands." Logan hung up and turned to Yang. She smiled, "You should go. Might be important X-Men business." Logan vowed, "I'll be back if you need me. I promise." Yang nodded as she kissed his cheek. Logan got up as he left the dorm room and headed on his way to his X-Men team.
