In the Essex Corporation, a man was sitting in his office watching computer monitors of what happened. Cinder Fall and Victor Creed destroying the van full of powerful semblance huntsman DNA, his Marauders beaten into submission, and Cinder and Victor on their way to the Essex Corp. As if on cue, the door of his office was blown apart by a fireball. Cinder Fall and Victor Creed entered inside as she declared, "I'm looking for the owner of this company. Let me see him now." The man replied, "Then you should have scheduled an appointment instead of interfering with my work." The man got up from his chair as Cinder and Victor could see him clearly.

The man had chalk white skin, black hair, black facial hair on his chin, completely blood red colored eyes, and a red diamond on his forehead

The man had chalk white skin, black hair, black facial hair on his chin, completely blood red colored eyes, and a red diamond on his forehead. He also wore a dark blue suit with a red diamond on his chest, a wide collar with dark blue on the outside and red on the inside, and a tattered cape with dark blue on the outside and red on the inside. Although Cinder didn't show it, the man's appearance was giving her shivers down her spine. Victor couldn't help but stare at him. Cinder asked, "Are you the owner?" The man answered coldly, "Indeed I am." Then he smiled darkly as he introduced himself eloquently, "But where are my manners? My name is Nathaniel Essex, but you are free to call me Mister Sinister. Please, have a seat." He gestured to the two chairs in front of his desk. Cinder declined, "We'll stand." Mister Sinister frowned, "Oh, very well." He sat back down as Cinder demanded, "What is this genetic and semblance enhancer drug your company is developing?" Mister Sinister nodded, "Aw, yes. The drug itself isn't out on the market yet, but we have been testing on people with weak semblances or Faunus wanting to become intimidating." Cinder asked, "What about the genetic samples your henchmen were carrying in the van?" Mister Sinister replied, "Of which you destroyed when you confronted my Marauders? That I cannot tell you because it is my personal business." Cinder stood up in anger as she demanded, "Tell me what I want to know now!" Mister Sinister refused, "You are in no position to make demands to me. The damages you caused, the lost genetic material, the sheer aggravation..." Cinder's eyes lit up as she threatened, "You will do as I say or I will kill you myself." Mister Sinister smirked, "And now you threaten me. Is that how you keep your associates in line?" Cinder created a fireball in her hand but was too late to react when Mister Sinister telekinetically pushed her to the wall. Victor was about to lunge at him but Mister Sinister caught him in midair and had him bind to the wall with purple energy coiled around him. Cinder spat out blood and recovered as she made another fireball and threw at Mister Sinister. Mister Sinister deflected it with a purple energy shield and shot her with his own energy beam. "You dare come after me as if Sinister was the name of a common thug you could intimidate?" asked Mister Sinister. He didn't give her a chance to reply as he bind her to the wall. "Please..." pleaded Cinder. "My.. Mistress wishes... to know..." Mister Sinister narrowed his eyes as he released Cinder and Victor. "Very well," accepted Mister Sinister. "Since she is so curious, I will permit myself to give you a tour of my company. Let us be on our way."

Mister Sinister walked with Cinder and Victor as he explained, "We at the Essex Corporation dedicate research and study of semblances and genetics of huntsmen and huntresses. Continue the work of Weapon X, which I graciously and privately funded. With the greatest minds Remnant has to offer." Cinder asked, "Exactly to what end?" Mister Sinister answered, "To clone the very people with the semblance. Or follow from the former Colonial William Stryker's theory of combining semblances to one body. Essentially creating the Perfect Hunter. My Marauders were to give me the necessary genetic material to do so until you and your pet interfered." Victor spoke, "I'm now interested in your genetic and semblance enhancer. Mind if I get myself one?" Mister Sinister smiled evilly, "Oh, but of course. I'll have one of my scientists to give a fully functional bottle for you." Mister Sinister turned to see Cinder as he asked, "The meeting. Is it still going on?" Cinder asked surprised, "How did you know?" Mister Sinister answered, "I was merely invited by your Mistress. It is no mistake that she sent her pupil to invite the other... eventual partners to the meeting." Cinder nodded as Mister Sinister asked, "Will that be all?" Cinder replied, "Who do you really serve? Not just yourself." Mister Sinister shrugged, "Someone... much powerful than you, myself, and your Mistress. Some would say he was the first." Cinder nodded, "That'll be all." She and Victor left as Mister Sinister watched with contentment.

Mister Sinister returned to his office as he met up with a scientist who asked, "Is this the blood spatter you want us to collect?" Mister Sinister nodded, "Yes, Dr. Rice. Our genetic samples may have been lost this day, but this will the first of many. For now, I must be going. There is a meeting in which I do not want to miss."
