I stood at the foot of the stairs my arms at my side my hands clenched in fists. I glared angrily at my father.
"Im not marrying him and you can't make me." I said.
"You live under my roof, you will do as I say," He spat at me.
My father was trying to get me to marry his wealthy bestfriend, the guy was 50, I had barely turned 18. This friend of his had also crept into my room on several occasions and molested me when I was a little girl. I had tried to tell my father but he refused to believe me. Now here the three of us were standing in the entrance to our house.
"Then I will leave, you arent marrying me off to that pervert, I would rather die a thousand deaths," I growled and went to head past him and out of the house.
"No, you will stay here and do as I say," he yelled grabbing my arm and pulling me back.
"You are not going to use me to settle your debts," I said struggling against his grip.
He back handed me and it was the first time my father had ever hit me. He even seem stuned himself that he did it. I was able to get free at that point and I threw the front door open.
"Carolyne, Im sorry," he said in a futile attempt to apologize.
I stepped and turned slightly to look at him.

"To hell with you," I said with a shaking voice.
I ran towards the stables and lept onto my horse without even bothering with a saddle and sped off to the forests.
When I had gotten a decent distance away. I climbed down and sat under a tree weeping. I ended up crying myself to sleep.
I woke up to the sound of thunder and lightening flashing. I climbed back up onto my horse and hurried through the forest as the sky opened and rain started pouring down.
I saw a large house off in the distance and hurried towards it. The gates were open and I climbed down and hurried to the door. I pounded on it and it creaked open.
"Hello?" I asked but heard no response.
I pushed the door open farther and stepped inside. I kept calling out for someone but still recieved no response.
I walked farther and the front door suddenly swung shut behind me. I jumped what felt like 10ft in the air and spun to the face the door. I saw noone and my heart was racing.
"Good evening," a voice said from behind me and I turned I gasped. I saw one of the most beautiful men I had ever seen standing at the top of the staircase.
