I cry about you
I would die for you
And you know
What no one else knows
I write about you
I want to be with you
But I know
That is not how this story goes.
I lie awake tonight
Pondering about the story I write
As my temporary roommate is fast asleep
I lie awake weeping
Does she love me?
Does she need me?
Does she think I am dead?
I'm not even safe in my own head!
How many tears am I going to cry
Until I finally find a way to die?
Why do they even care about me
When a failure is all I see!
I cry about you
I would die for you
And you know
What no one else knows
I write about you
I want to be with you
But I know
That is not how this story goes.
My mind is racing
As I am pacing
This empty hall
Listening to my inner demons call
Threatening to take my life
They want me to say goodbye
But reality is making me stay
I can't go away
Why won't they let me go....
Just let me go!
I cry about you
