Fun (Poem)

Time to sit back and watch it all burn

Never taking too long to mourn

Isn't it fun staying sober

Now that all the drama is over

It is okay that I left them behind

Now I am sure most of them don't even mind

Now I am sorry to say that I was never

Significant enough to be remembered

By most of the people I left in the dust

Now I'm glad I left that storm of hate and lust

Ain't it fun writing my new story

Because their world never had room for me

Aren't you happy to finally move on

Now my new life is so much fun

Though it was fun chasing rainbows

Even when you knew they would go

It wasn't fun playing the victim

But I am quick to forgive them

Isn't it fun making new friends, never looking back

As my world and my mind used to be full of black

But I found the light I thought they provided

Now I have all of the care and affection I have ever needed

It is alright that now I watch from afar

Never taking myself to where they are

Looking at the world with newfound confidence truly is fun!
