What Say You Now? (Poem)

I was right, what say you now?

Are you going to dodge me again somehow?

Change the subject to something you think I did wrong?

But guess what... You were wrong all along!

Your words don't ring true

Yet I find myself quickly forgiving you

For every false word you scold me with

For every growling breath

You have ever breathed

For every wrong word you said

I find that my broken yet gentle heart

Truly can't tear us apart

I don't know why I bother to mention

Actions you made with corrupt intention

Every argument brings me to tears

Now that kind of pain I feel is feared

If only the moves I make

Were all not a mistake

To you, dear mother

To you, my lover

To you, loved father

To you, little brother

To you, trusted counselor...

What say you now?
