Kyungsoo

It has been three days since Jongin told me his father used to beat him and three days after I asked Baekhyun if I could sleep in his house again. Both things had made me sick.
The days were dull.
Jongin showed up in the store as usual, but it felt weird. He did kiss me, but we didn't talk much. He didn't even want to tell me what he's been doing.
I was taken aback and went quiet for those three days.
I thought he would like some time alone with his friend, but he didn't seem happy, nor did he acted like he missed me. It made me confused.

"I'm going home," Jongin announced as he stood up from his stool.
It was five minutes before the shop would officially close, but I didn't say anything. "See you tomorrow," he added.

I nodded and pretended like I was busy with some papers. If you want to act distant, I can play with you.

He sighed and leaned in to kiss my cheek. "Bye."

As I didn't reply he put on his jacket and left. Jongdae had already left, so I was alone now.
I rubbed my eyes and rested my forehead on the cold counter. Why did everything always turn out differently than I hoped it would?
I was in deep shit with Lay, especially now Dongsun had left me to deal with it on my own. How am I supposed to fix that?

I lifted my head and stood up, grabbing my jacket. I closed the shop and started walking to Baekhyun's place. I accidentally took a wrong turn and realised I was walking to Jongin's house. I was about to turn around when I heard a familiar voice stammer, "Wh... What?"

Jongin

I was walking home when I saw two guys standing against a wall.

"Hey pretty boy," one of the guys called me. "A friend of Kyungsoo?"

I watched in confusion as he walked over to me. "I asked you something."

"Wh... What?" I stammered, unsure of what to do.

"Is he a friend of yours?" The other guy joined us. "Because shit, we have a message for him." He laughed loudly.

Before I could say something back, one of them pulled me with them in an alley. He grabbed my collar and pushed me against the wall. "We can do this the easy way or-"

"Leave him the fuck alone!"

We all turned to see where the voice came from.

"Kyungsoo!" I exclaimed as I saw the small figure.

"This is Kyungsoo?" The other guy asked grinning. "This ain't no child play."

"I said, leave him the fuck alone," Kyungsoo said, ignoring his question.

"Fair enough. We wanted him to tell you something, but now we have the honor to say it to you face to face." He let go off my collar and turned to Kyungsoo, slowly walking over to him. "Don't think you will get away with what you've done, buddy."

My eyes fell on the bat that was resting against the wall. Without thinking I grabbed it and hit the guy on his back. Bad idea.
I immediately dropped it again, surprised by my own action.

He turned on his heels and growled, "you wanna play it like that?"

"Don't touch him," Kyungsoo warned in a low voice.

"Or else?" The guy asked him.

"I'm gonna kill you."

The other one grabbed my shoulder and pinned me against the wall, making me wince in pain.
I looked at Kyungsoo and something in his face made me see why I found him creepy when I first met him.
