Charlie's POV

"Hey, I'll catch up with you later. Im going to go visit a friend who works here." I told Haley mostly not caring what Jo would say. I leaned in placing a kiss to Haley's cheek before scooting my chair back to throw away my drink and head back into the mall.

Haley gave me a "is everything alright?" type of look and I just nodded to ensure her everything was fine. I purposely left out the name of the employee I was going to see. It's not like I was exactly happy that I had to go and see her but I have to do what I have to do.

I walked into Forever21, looking around in disgust. How do girls wear this shit? But I was pulled from my thoughts as I unfortunately found my target.

"Ah, Charlie," Adrianna's voice pierced my ears as I rolled my eyes and groaned under my breath. I began walking towards the cash register where she was standing behind the counter.

"Lets get this over with, ok?" I muttered as she laughed lowly.

"Always one to jump right into things, huh, Charlie?"

I now looked at her in disgust instead of the clothes around me before turning my head. "I don't have time for your damn games just tell me what you needed to tell me."

"Wes is gone."

I returned my eyes to hers, my eyebrows knitting together in confusion. "What do you mean he's gone?"

"I mean his parents bought him a ticket to Italy and he's staying there for the rest of the summer." Adrianna told me.

"But why?"

She shrugged. "Beats me. Guess his parents finally found out their son wasn't so perfect."

"But Italy? And for the rest of the summer?"

Adrianna shook her head. "I don't know the details. I just know we won't be seeing much of him anymore."

"That's okay with me. And for Haley." I said, standing up straight again before turning to exit the store. I didn't need to be in here any longer than I had to be.

But I was stopped as I felt Adrianna's hand grab my hand to pull me to face her again.

"That's not the only thing I had to tell you."

I absentmindedly rolled my eyes but allowed her to say what she had to say.

"Make it quick." I snapped as she retracted her hand but leaned forward onto the counter that sat between us.

She inhaled, looking away from my eyes before continuing, "I meant what I said at the party."

I shook my head and scoffed. "You were drunk off your ass. You didn't even know what you were saying."

"Actually I did. I didn't drink that night. Or at least not when I found out you were going to be there."

"You played the part pretty well then because when you were talking to me you sounded hammered."

"Charlie, that's not the point." Her voice came out on edge as she recollected herself. "That's not the point. The point is that I really do miss us. I miss you. I have for some time now."

"You're ridiculous. You think I'd actually believe that? Remember you were the one that wanted to end it?" I raised my eyebrows, turning my back to her before beginning to walk towards the exit.

"Get out of my way, Adrianna." I groaned as she set her body in front of mine to prevent me from leaving.

"No. You think it's easy for me to see you parading around with another girl when I still have feelings for you?"
