Haley's POV
I rolled over as the bright morning light poured into the room. I squinted my eyes, turning my attention to a sleeping Charlie next to me. His arm was draped over my waist, his lips slightly parted as his steady breathing was heard.
Luckily, the dream hadn't come back after I had woken up from it the first time. I was grateful for that and the decent amount of sleep I had gotten after going back to sleep.
I turned on my side again to slip from under Charlie's touch without waking him up. He stirred slightly but didn't open his eyes as my body left the sheets. I moved around the room to gather my various articles of clothing that had been strewn around from Charlie and I's night.
My eyes glanced over to Charlie one last time before gathering my clothes, purse, and cell phone. I walked out of the room, heading for the bathroom so I could change out of Charlie's shirt.
After I had slipped back into my dress from the night before, I began trying to fix my hair and the smudges under my eyes from the makeup. As I continued to attempt to adjust my appearance, Charlie had appeared in the doorway. His arms were crossed over his bare chest and all that adorned his body were sweatpants hanging low on his hips. Too low.
"You thought I wouldn't notice?" He raised his eyebrows. A slight annoyance was heard in his voice and then it hit me. Charlie was under the impression that I was just going to walk out on him like a one night stand. He's so stupid sometimes. I wanted to laugh just thinking of that.
But it wouldn't hurt to play with him a bit.
"No, I guessed you'd wake up." I shrugged.
"Wow, so you were just going to leave? I would've never taken you for the one night stand type of girl." Charlie continued as I moved closer to him, hanging my arms around his neck.
"Really, Charlie? You thought I'd walk out on you?" I cocked an eyebrow, tilting my head to the side.
"No," He shook his head. "Not after what I gave you last night." Charlie smirked, biting his lip. I could tell now he had been messing with me too. He knew I would've never just left him without an explanation or goodbye.
I turned my head to the side, rolling my eyes as he leaned forward to place a kiss to my cheek.
"I'm just kidding you." He smiled, returning to the playful Charlie I loved so much.
"I better get going," I said, letting go of Charlie to lean back against the counter. "If I don't get home soon, my mom is going to think you kidnapped me." I chuckled.
"Would that be such a bad thing?" Charlie took a step towards me, resting his hands on my waist.
"Yes," My eyes widened as I teased him.
"Wow," Was all he said as I laughed.
"Can you drive me home? I just realized I don't have my car." I asked as he nodded.
"Yeah, let me just get changed." Charlie told me, taking my hand in his as he led me out of the bathroom and back to his room.
I waited in the doorway as Charlie ruffled through the messy piles of clothes that laid on the floor. He really should clean up in here. Soon, you won't be able to see the floor at all.
Charlie grabbed a white tshirt, slipping it on before discarding his sweatpants and pulling on a pair of black jeans. He ran his fingers through his hair during that time to fix it as best he could. Once he was done with all that, he came back towards me, again taking my hand in his.
