Tyler's POV ~
The sound of momma dun shutting the car door could be heard , followed by the front door opening and closing.
"Boys? Are you home?" she called down the stairs."Yes." Josh called back.We slowly started to get up but as soon as I moved pain shot through my stomach and I winced. "Oh god are you okay?" I nodded even though my stomach hurt really bad.
Josh frowned at me while I held my stomach. He laid me back down on his chest and rubbed my back."What do you boys want for supper? I was thin-" momma dun cut herself off when she walked into Josh's room.
"Omg what happened!?" she cried and ran over to the side of the bed cupping the side of my face with her hand. "Um.. Well uh we got in a fight."
Momma duns eyes widened at what Josh had just told her. "I mean me and Tyler didn't get in a fight with each other but um those kids that broke my nose started a fight with us."Josh clarified."How did it start?" she asked with a concerned look. Josh answered, he told her about how they started off with just saying stuff to us then he told her how Rian punched me and how he tackled Rian for doing so. He told her about how Sam and Brendon were kicking me in the stomach and how the security got involved. I was glad Josh was doing all the talking I really didn't feel up to it.
"Omg Tyler hunny are you okay?" she asked and I nodded weakly in response. "Can I have a look at your stomach?" she asked concern held within her voice. I nod again and lean back off Josh's chest wincing at the pain.
I slowly lifted up the front of my shirt and both momma dun and Josh gasped. I looked down as well. My stomach was covered in dark blues, blacks and purples. I felt my eyes start to tear up, it looked so bad, so ugly.
"I'm going to go get you an ice pack okay?" momma dun stood up and I nodded. Once momma dun left the room Josh spoke. "Hey.. Shhh. Don't cry it's okay. Your okay." he said while using his thumb to wipe a tear that rolled down my cheek. I sniffled and rested my forehead on Josh's shoulder as a few more tears fell, soaking Josh's shirt.
"Hey... Look at me." Josh spoke in a soft tone while lifting my head up.
I looked at him as he wiped the tears away again before he gave me a soft kiss. "Your safe now okay? I'm sorry I let them hurt you like that. It's never going to happen again. They won't hurt you anymore I'll make sure of it." he said when he pulled away and wrapped his arms around me being sure not to hurt my stomach.
"You mean so much to me Tyler and I hate myself for letting you get hurt. I'm so sorry I let it happen. But I promise you no one is ever going to hurt you again like that and if they do they'll regret it. I hate seeing you get hurt and I hate seeing you cry. If anyone ever hurts you in anyway tell me okay?"I nodded and rested my head back on his chest. "Okay." I said my voice horse from crying. "Awwww." momma dun cooed. How long has she been there for?
She handed me a ice pack which I held to my stomach but remained in the same position on Josh as he gently played with my hair."I was going to ask what you boys wanted for supper. I was thinking steak and rice.. Maybe some corn or something to go with it?" momma dun asked. "Sounds good mom. What do you think Tyler?" I sniffled. "Sounds delicious." I smiled at her softly. "Alright I'll get to it then if you need anything I'm just upstairs."
And then she left closing the door
behind her. "Josh?" I said quietly.
"Yes Ty?" he answered "thank you."
I said while nuzzling my face into his chest. "For what?" he asked. "For everything.... Everything since we met ... For caring about me so much and being there for me.... For taking such good care of me.... Just everything.""Your welcome... Thank you for doing the same for me." he kissed the top of my head and I smiled. Re-asking myself the question 'what did I do to deserve Josh?' He's the best thing that's ever happened to me and I'm so so grateful for him.
