CHAPTER 7: Josh, Who's This?

Josh's POV ~

I was standing behind Tyler waiting to put my dishes in the sink, we had just ate the left over pizza from yesterday. I guess I was standing to close to Tyler cause when he turned around our noses were almost touching so I jumped back.

After that we just stood in the kitchen with an awkward silence til my mom came home. "Josh I'm home" mom called downstairs assuming that's where I'd be. "I'm u-upstairs" I called back.

She came up to see me and Tyler standing in the kitchen "oh hi...... Josh, Who's this?"she gestured toward Tyler "oh uh t-thats Tyler... He's a friend from school." my mom smiled so widely I thought her face was going to rip in half. "You made a friend I'm so happy for you" she said as she waltzed over to give me a hug.

"M-mom stop your embarrassing me" I whispered while Tyler looked like he was trying not to laugh. "Oh right sorry" she forced herself away and looked for something she could eat.

Tyler slowly walked over to me
"s-shut up" I said before he said anything which made him giggle a bit. I tried to hold back a smile but failed.

Me and Tyler retreated back to my room and watched movies till around 8pm when my mom came down to say goodnight and realized Tyler was still here. "Oh Tyler honey shouldn't you be getting home it's getting pretty late... Your parents aren't wanting you home?" Tyler looked a little uneasy at the thought of going home but slowly stood up anyway "yeah your right I'll see you tomorrow Josh.... Thanks for today" he gave a little smile at me then my mom and went to head upstairs.

"W-wait" I ran after him leaving my mom in my room. "You s-sure your okay to go home?... I-i can see if mom will let you stay over if your not ready to go home yet" he stopped putting on his shoes he only had one on "really? I mean I don't want to impose(tbh before I wrote impose i had to go ask my mom if it meant what I thought it meant) or anything"

My mom started coming up the stairs to see why I ran after him so fast "yea i-it's fine I'm sure...uhh m-mom can Tyler sleep over tonight we'll be quiet and go to sleep early.. Please?" my mom looked at Tyler then at me and I gave her a smile. She sighed "okay... Just promise to be quiet i have work in the morning"

"T-thank you mom!" I yelled and gave her a hug while Tyler shook his head and laughed before taking off his shoe." also you are to be in bed in a hour and have your alarm set for the morning" she said sternly before going upstairs

We went down to my room and continued watching our movie. After that movie was finish I went to ask Tyler what he wanted to watch next and realized he fell asleep. He was laying on his side with his hands under his face. Awww he's adorable.

I put a blanket on him and grabbed one for myself along with a pillow and laid on the floor since Tyler was in my bed. I fell asleep soon after.

It was about 1:30am when I was woken up by Tyler he was mumbling in his sleep. I thought nothing of it and went to go back to sleep but once I closed my eyes Tyler started breathing really heavy and telling something to leave him alone. He was having a nightmare.

"T-tyler?...." I started shaking his shoulder trying to wake him up. "Tyler w-wake up" I spoke a little louder but not too loud so I wouldn't wake up mom. His eyes shot open and he started panicking like he didn't know where he was.

"Tyler shh i-its okay" once he realized where he was he jumped at me wrapping his arms around me which took me by surprise and I almost feel over, but I caught him. "H-hey shhh you're okay" I said as I held him tightly.

About 10 mins passed and he seemed to be calming down. He was still clinging to me like his life depended on it tho. So I just kept rubbing his back and telling him it was okay. Not long after my mom came into the room and turned the light on. She looked very confused."Josh?.... Whats going on here?"

A/N ~ lol I have no clue what I'm doing. My mom just told to me go eat supper so I should wrap this up .. Again sorry for not updating the last few days were getting yet another snow storm so school was cancelled again. I'm going to continue writing a chapter for everyday I miss then publish them when I get on wifi. thanks for understanding. Love you! Bye❤
