CHAPTER 46: Sassy One

Tyler's POV ~

I finished eating, helped momma dun with dishes and started making my way downstairs.
Jordan stopped me.

"Hey Tyler?" he asked walking up to me. " oh hey whats up?" I questioned turning to face him. "Hows Josh doing? I'm really worried about him."
He said in a concerned tone. I gave him a sad smile. "I'm sure he's going to be fine." I told him. "I hope so."

I gave him a reassuring hug and continued downstairs. Josh was fast asleep, slightly snoring. I smiled to myself and sat down beside him on the bed. His phone went off. I picked it up from where it laid on the bed.

Brendon: Hey dude I haven't heard from you all day. Sorry for bailing on you last night. You okay tho? There's a party tonight on the other side of town if you want to go I can pick you up in an hour. You just have to tell me where your at.

I looked over at Josh and bit my lip.

Me: Hi Brendon. Um Josh is asleep right now. I'm pretty sure he wouldn't want to go to the party tho.

Brendon: ....
If Josh is asleep who the hell am I talking to?

Me: Tyler

Brendon: huh?
I thought you guys broke up.
I thought you were pissed at him.

Me: I was but we worked it out.

Brendon: so where is Josh at then?

Me: his house

Brendon: oh

Me: yeah

Brendon: can you wake him up for me I need to talk to him

Me: um
No

Brendon: why not?

Me: because he just went to sleep not too long ago

Brendon: ....so? Just wake him up it'll be quick

Me: no if its so important it can wait til later

Brendon: your still the same old stubborn Tyler

Me: oh thanks

Brendon: yeah no problem

Me: that was sarcasm

Brendon: yeah I know

"What are you doing? Who are you talking to?" Josh mumbled sleepily.
"Brendon... He messaged you but I didn't want to wake you up so I told him you were asleep." I answered.

"Oh. What does he want?" he asked.
"He wanted to know if you want to go to a party on the other side of town in an hour." I said passing him his phone. "There's a party on the other side of town today?" he questioned. "Yeah apparently."

He made an 'ah' noise and read through the texts me and Brendon sent each other. "Damn your a sassy one aren't you." Josh chuckled. I rolled my eyes. "Shut up."

"Your my sassy one though so it's okay." he said leaning over and giving me a kiss. I smiled at him.

"Your not going to go to that party though are you?" I asked. "....well..." he said. "Oh my god you are not actually thinking about going." I said in disbelief.

He sighed. "I kinda want to so I can get a drink but.. If you don't want me to I won't." I gave him a hug. "I don't want you to but if you really need to then you can go. I know how hard it can be to try to quit something that you've grown to rely on."

"What do you mean? Well I know what you mean but like.. What have you had to quit that you relied on?"
He asked. I didn't say anything I just rolled up my sleeves and showed him my scars. His face softened and I rolled my sleeves back down knowing he got what I meant.

"Tyler I-" he went to say something but stopped. "It's okay Josh." I said. He pulled me onto his lap and hugged me tightly. "I totally forgot about that Ty. I'm so sorry but I'm also so proud of you for being strong enough not to do it. I love you so much. Don't ever forget that." his voice was muffled from his face being shoved into my neck. "I love you too. And I know you can get through this okay? You'll get through it." I said back. He nodded.

Josh flipped us so I was laying on my back on the bed. He leaned down and kissed me, I kissed back. My hands ran down the front of his shirt before slipping underneath it and roaming his bare chest and stomach. One of his hands were above my head supporting himself and the other held onto one of my arms.

"Mmm your so beautiful." he muttered breaking the kiss. He reconnected it after he got the sentence out. I moaned quietly at his words.

He moved his hand that wasn't supporting himself up my arm and grabbed one of my hands, moving our intertwined fingers to the side.

He moved his lips down to my neck, sucking on the sensitive skin. "Josh." I breathed. The hand under his shirt gripped his shoulder lightly. He pulled back letting go of my hand and pulling his shirt up over his head, throwing it to the side and reconnecting our mouths.

My arms wrapped around his neck. One resting on his shoulder the other tangled in his hair. He ran his tongue along my bottom lip and I granted him access, moaning at his change in demeanor since a few minutes ago.

"Hey Josh-" Ashley and Abby burst into the room causing me to yelp and push Josh off me. (AHAHAH. I see you dirty sinners... NO SMUT FOR YOU!) Josh fell backwards off the bed and grunted when he hit the ground. His back touching the floor and his feet in the air. He looked at the 2 girls upside down, panting.

"What up." he said casually still hanging somewhat off the bed. "Umm.... Mom said to come ask you if you could take us to the mall so we can meet up with our new friends from school.. But it looks like your busy." Ashley said and both of them giggled at the last part.

"Oh yeah sure give us a few minutes and I'll drive you." Josh said not moving from his position. "Alright we'll be waiting upstairs." Abby said before they both left. Their laughter could be faintly heard as they walked
up the stairs.

I crawled over to the edge of the bed and looked down at Josh. "Sorry." I chuckled reaching my hands down and pulling him back onto the bed.

"Don't be sorry. It's just pay back for the time I pushed you off the bed." he said once he was properly sitting causing me to laugh. He stood up nd grabbed his shirt that he discarded earlier, slipping it on.

"You want to come for the drive? Maybe we'll stop by the lake for a while until the girls want to be picked up?" Josh asked. "Yes!" I exclaimed jumping up from the bed and running out of the room to put my shoes on.

I heard Josh chuckle as he followed behind me. "Ash! Abby! Come on!" Josh yelled up the stairs and not to long after the 2 girls ran down the stairs and out the door.

We all got in Josh and his moms shared car and were off to the mall. We dropped off the girls and Josh told them to text him when their ready to go home. Me and Josh then drove to the lake waiting for said text.
