Danny Phantom: Ghost Zone Field trip

Chapter 22

As soon as the trio made their way outside both Danny and Sam had turned into their ghost halves after making sure no one was watching. Sam sighed in relief when she felt energy start to flow through her veins however, no matter how great it felt to be back in her ghost form she had other issues to take care of.

“Danny, what happened in Walker's jail?” Her boyfriend only looked downwards, not able to meet her stare. It's not that he didn't want to answer her it’s just he didn't know how to answer her when he himself didn't know what happened.

“I don't know,” he finally responded after a minute of silence, his frustration noticeable in his voice. It made him upset that he didn't know what happened while being in Walker's jail but it made him more upset with not knowing what he did to the Warden.

“You don't know?”, She calmly repeated her eyebrows shot upward in surprise. This wasn't like Danny at all, he usually told her everything why was he hiding it? Unless...he really didn't know.

She was about to ask him another question when Tucker broke the tension that began appearing around them, “ Danny doesn't remember much from the time we were in jail, only bits and pieces. His brain sort of blocked it out.”

Danny was nodding at this while Sam contemplated on what to do next before remembering about his wounds. “Tucker can you go look for a first aid kit, please?” The techno geek nodded as he jogged back to the Ghostwriter’s home leaving his two friends behind.

As he jogged back inside he failed to notice two figures hiding behind one of the opened doors. Both Dash and Josh made sure Tucker was successfully gone before they made their way back to their spot where the have been before.

'What is Phantom doing here?’ Josh thought before he mentally slapped himself, 'its the Ghost Zone duh! He lives here.’ He wanted to look for both Fenton and Sam to find some dirt on them, well on Fenton specifically but both jocks had gotten lost in the maze they call halls before they ended up right where they came in only to find Phantom, a plant ghost, and the geek. A sudden thought came to him, 'how does the loser know Amity's hero?’  

Before he could voice his thoughts out loud he was shushed by Dash who pointed towards the two ghost that began talking again. Of course, neither could hear what they're saying only bits and pieces.  

“What exactly do you remember Danny?” The boy only hummed before letting out a sigh of frustration, “I don't know, it's all a big blur. I remember Walker torturing me and you…” There was a pained expression that crossed his face at the memory of seeing Sam in that bubble, “you were in danger.”

Sam saw the expression but quickly as she had seen it he had his masked face again which hurt her more than any wound she could ever receive. 'He shouldn't be doing this,” she thought sadly as she floated over to him and grabbed his hand, interlacing their fingers together.

Danny gave her a small smile to which she returned before giving him a hug. Placing his chin on top of her head he let out a sigh of content before continuing, “ I remember he was going to do something to Charlotte and that's when I blanked I guess.”

Sam only hummed in understanding, her eyebrows furrowed in deep thought. “If you want then maybe -”

A loud scream interrupted their conversation as Danny quickly pushed Sam behind him and took a battle stance. A ball of ectoplasm formed on each of their hands looking at the incoming threat.

However, instead of a ghost like they had predicted it was actually Tucker and he was dragging two jocks that seemed to be fighting to get free but thankfully Tucker had a tight grip.
