Chapter 30

Danny and Sam stared at Danielle with large smiles on their faces before the little girl jumped happily into their arms screaming out, “Mommy! Daddy!”

It was those two words that made everyone's  hearts freeze. Sam and Danny felt their eyes widened at being outed on another secret but they couldn't bring themselves to be angry at Danielle. Not to mention, they probably wouldn't have been able to hide it much longer.

“Yes honey, mom and dad are here,” Danny said kissing the young girls temple before pulling her away from them, “we've missed you so much.”

The little girl beamed happily before tackling her father in another hug, "I've missed you too Daddy, Happy Birthday.” The Raven haired closed his eyes in content, “Thank you Sweetheart.”

Danielle came out of the hug and wiggled her way out of Danny's arms as Sam watched with a raised eyebrow but a smile gracing her lips.

“I got presents for you Daddy and you too Mommy! Come on before they chicken out and-”

“Woah,” someone said from the pile of limbs and bodies that were still on the floor. After some movement and a few complaints the students and two adults untangled themselves from one another.

“Did she just call you two 'mommy’ and 'daddy’?”

Danny and Sam smiled sheepishly before nodding towards Marcus, the person that had spoken out, causing a few students to gape at their classmates and others to start an uproar.

“You and her did-”

“You two said-”

“But clearly they did,” came the reply having everyone look at the two teens with red faces, “quite early too,” finished Mickey with raised eyebrows.

“No look you don't un-”

Sam started only to be cut off by a screech and someone toppling on top of her.

“You witch! You stole him away from me!” Sam tried to get Paulina away from her because clearly the Hispanic had lost it.

Pushing the girl away from her as far as possible, Sam tried to see her surroundings to find an escape. She didn't want to hurt her even as much as she hated the girl she couldn't, she needed to be mature not to mention Danielle was there. She needed to be a good role model.

“Get her off of me!”

Well, she's trying to be.

Danny was about to rip Paulina off his girlfriend when he felt a fist come and hit him on his jaw, throwing him back a step. Not getting the chance to process what was happening, Danny felt hands on his tunic before being pulled where he was met by an angry fallback.

“I'm going to kill you Fenton.”

Danny knew a threat when he saw one and was about to retort back only to get himself spinned and pushed up against the wall near the door causing a few students to scatter away.

“Students break it off!”

But Mr. Lancer’s orders fell on deaf ears, “You should have just left her alone Fenton,” Josh all but growled out but it didn't seem to have an affect on the glaring halfa.
