Danny Phantom: Ghost Zone Field trip

I need to talk to you...

Chapter 33

Jack swallowed the lump that had formed in his throat. He felt his vision blur but he quickly blinked the tears away. So many emotions, so many issues and he didn't know what to do. How can he move on from this?

It was an hour after the commotion that happened downstairs and dinner had been pushed back some, due to everyone’s tensed state and Sam's well being. Therefore, everyone either went to their rooms or began to wander around the castle.

Both Valerie and Maddie were locked in their rooms with guards standing by their doors. Neither to be let go until dinner time, at Danny's orders.

Looking back, Jack thought, how could things have gone wrong in the last couple of months, let alone a couple of hours.

From his daughter going missing, his wife becoming some angry abusive woman, his divorce declaration, and his own son's withdrawal he didn't know how he can go on.

His own son was dead for crying out loud and he hadn’t known. 'I didn't know..and I shot him’

Now...Now it just felt as if the tunnel that lead to him and his son's reunion was being forever closed, never to be open again.

He wants to be better, but despite being in a big castle where it was filled with the same beings he tried to help create mass genocide, he felt utterly alone in his own suite. A suite given by his son, one he didn't deserve.

'I have to talk to him,’ thought Jack as he stood and made his way over to the door but just as he reached his hand out to grab the doorknob, he hesitated. Shaking his head, the scientist backed away from the door. He needs to tread this carefully. Sitting back on the bed he began to think of ways to mend the relationship between him and his son.

He only hoped that it wasn't too late.

Meanwhile…

Josh laid down in his room that was given to him, thoughts coming and leaving his mind at a rapid pace. He knew who his parents were, his actual parents, how was he supposed to handle all this?

Danny

He needs to talk to Danny and Sam, both of them and try to figure this out. First, he needs to find them in this maze of a castle.

Somehow that seemed easier than he thought because when he stepped out of his room he saw him at the end of the hallway speaking to Belen who then scurried away. This was his time to talk to him.

The fallback quickly jogged over to Danny who raised his right eyebrow in confusion before checking the area for any type of danger. Finding none, the hero turned back to the jock, “Banks? Is there something you need.”

Danny found it all too confusing the situation between the fallback and his girlfriend. What did Pamela and Jeremy do? What made them decide to give their son away.

Josh was so caught up in the similarities between Fenton and Phantom that he didn't hear the question until it was asked a second time, breaking him away from his one-sided staring contest.

“Um, yeah, listen I need to talk to you and Sam about what had happened. How can I be her brother I can't even..”

Danny was nodding which gave Josh a huge wave of relief that he agreed to talk to him. “I agree, the whole situation is confusing but then again Pamela and Jeremy are two of the biggest hypocrites ever so I wouldn't be surprised about their mistakes.”

Josh nodded, feeling weird that he and Danny aren't arguing as they often did. He guessed that Danny must have sensed it too because he then said, “This is weird, right? Us talking that is instead of fighting.”

Josh nodded as he shuddered a bit, it was really weird. “ Well,” Danny said as he uncrossed his arms, “let's head into my study, I’ll call for Sam and we can have-”

“Pardon the intrusion but Danny I need to have a word with you.”

Both males turned to find Clockwork there, his face looking neutral as ever but Danny felt a sense of dread wash over him. Still, the Raven haired teen asked, “ Is everything okay?”

Clockwork turned to Josh, who seemed friendly but the fallback still watched the time ghost with wary eyes. “Do you mind if I steal him for a bit?” Josh shook his head no before turning to Danny, whose face turned neutral as well. It terrified Josh to no ends how easy Danny could turn off his emotions. Was that a part of the ghost thing? Who knows.

“We'll talk about this later Banks, maybe after dinner.” Danny didn't look at him as he said this but nevertheless Josh nodded, too numb to say anything as he watched his idol/ victim and the time ghost, walk away leaving him in the middle of the hallway.

God, how did things end up like this? Did Danny somehow spread his horrible luck on everyone?

Sighing, the fallback headed back to his room for a nap, deciding that it was needed after everything that's happened.

He only hoped that his mind didn't keep him awake.

Wow....it's been awhile. I'm sorry guys. A lot has happened the time I didn't update and it's just overwhelming. Good news though, I'm finally 18! Yay! But yeah, like I said it's been a lot and I had to make time for everything else going on in my life. Unfortunately, that didn't leave me time for updating the book which sucks because it means a lot to me and I know it means a lot to you. So, I'm going to try to update as much as I can from now on. 

Anyway, enough of me. Throughout this chapter we see Jack and Josh thinking about their own personal problems. Jack with fixing his relationship with Danny and Josh knowing who his actual parents are. Both wanting to talk to the Ghost Hero.

It's a small chapter compared to the other ones I know but this is more of a filler in rather than anything else. Nothing big, not yet anyway.
