"Did he just..?"

"Yup, bro."

"Do you think..?"

"No, he's not like Maddie, Danny."

"I still don't trust him."

"Neither do we."

Sitting up slightly -with the help of Sam of course- Danny started to think about both of Jack and Maddie's actions as he felt Sam start to wrap bandages around his torso and ribs before crossing his chest to cover up his left shoulder. There was something off with Jack and Maddie- eh, more than usual that is. Jack seemed to want to get closer to him but one could never be too careful while Maddie was even more aggressive to him than usual. He decided that he needed to keep an eye out on his parents just in case they were to attack either him or Sam.

Suddenly, he felt light fingertips running down his chest slowly; almost as if they were scared that he would break with a simple touch. Looking down, Danny saw Sam's hand tracing an old scar on his right shoulder blade that ended on chest. He grabbed her small hand into his much larger one; bringing her knuckles close to his lips and kissed them lightly while meeting her watery eyes.

"I'm okay. I like my scars, maybe not at first, but now I do. It reminds me of all the times I've helped people and of all the adventures we've had. They remind me of who I am, what I've become, and what I keep becoming."

Mr. Lancer stared at the young couple with a sad smile but he couldn't help but be filled with worry. A teenager shouldn't be proud of having scars; granted it was good - in some weird way - that he wasn't depressed about them but still. Who gave these scars to him? Why would they give them to him? Who did he help? He'll have to be more observant towards the famous Mysterious Trio.

Sam was nodding as Danny talked about this but it didn't make her any less upset that Danny had these scars and was still underappreciated. If only..if only he never stepped into the portal, he would never have had these many scars.

No.

She can't think negative thoughts like that. Like Danny said, she should be happy for what he became and for what he keeps becoming. She looked up and gave him a light smile; which he returned along with Tucker. Yea, he was underappreciated but both her, Tucker, and the rest of The Phantom Family didn't though. They appreciated him and they loved him, something not many people - including his parents - seem to give him.

"I don't mean to interrupt this sweet moment but we are stuck in the middle of the Ghost Zone with our idiotic class and two ghost hunters with absolutely no idea of what they are doing with us three who are the only known people to know the way out." Danny frowned at Tucker's words but didn't deny or argue about it either. He knew he was right, after all, the problem now is getting them to listen to him; the loser freak.

Sighing, he gave a look of confirmation to Tucker and Sam; who finally finished packing up the first aid kit, and was about to stand when Sam stopped him. "Wait," he looked at her with his eyebrows furrowed in confusion; did he do something wrong? "How much did you get?" Ah, it's about our 'food', he thought to himself with a smile before turning into a small frown. "I got some but not enough; I'm weak. How about you?" She shook her head in response, "Nothing, I woke up before I had time to grasp anything." Great. If both her and himself are weak there is a chance they could get attacked and easily be taken down. This is not good.

"Hey man," Tucker started with a smile; bringing Danny out of his stressful thoughts, " we'll get through this we always do. Although, we can't do that if you're stressing about what might happen or could happen that could lead to one of your anxiety attacks, and we don't want that." Danny nodded letting out a breath of stress out of his mouth; he was right he couldn't have another anxiety attack he hated them. It's been two years since he faced his horrible future and he still had nightmares and panic attacks.

"Yea, you're right. I-I'll try to stay calm for you guys and for them. Now," he started as they finally stood up and faced the group of teenagers and three adults who were going through their scattered stuff, "let's start this field trip."
