Chapter 21

"No"

"Aw come on!"

"No."

Danny sighed as he felt his shoulders slouch in defeat. "What if I throw in a book loving teacher in as payment?"

"Danny!"

Sam glared at her boyfriend as well as everyone who looked shocked that Danny would suggest such a thing. Their teacher on the other was at lost for words but he couldn't help but glare slightly at his student. Tucker had been the only one who was laughing so loud that he was practically crying.

He grinned happily as he held his hands up in defeat, "I'm kidding, I'm kidding." The ghost that was in front of the Raven haired teen only sighed as he continued typing." James you could bring me the ghost of Hemingway or F.Scott Fitzgerald but my answer will remain as a no."

Everyone stared at the new ghost in front of them in curiosity. Jet black hair that didn't seemed to have been combed in years, grey skin that made people question if it was normal. Glasses to complete his nerd look along with his Harry Potter themed pajamas.

"Come on Writer, we're tired! You're not going to keep us out in the cold are you? I mean you don't have to feed them- I mean us, all you have to do is give them a place to stay so they could sleep. We won't make a sound" Danny tried to bargain as a few people only rolled their eyes in annoyance. This was taking forever and many of them were already dozing off while they were standing. 'I'm grateful for Danny, really, but I would rather much have slept on the floor.' Star thought to herself as she snuggled closer to Kwan.

"...No."

Danny banged his head against the desk in front of him making a few people wince. The Ghostwriter sighed obnoxiously loud as he ran a hand over his face. He wanted to finish his poetry book tonight but his future King needed a place to stay and while he understood that he needed to keep his identity a secret he didn't understand why his King's bad luck had to go to him as well.

He glanced at the words in front of him and he sighed once again. He wasn't going to finish anyway, not when he received a major writers block. Unless...

"Alright James," immediately Danny looked up with an innocent smile on his face, "you and your entourage may stay in my library. There's a couple of couches in there that you may use and books you may use to read if you're bored." Everyone exclaimed happily much to the librarians dismay while Danny, Sam and Tucker smiled grateful but they soon quieted down when Ghostwriter spoke once again.

"However," he began with a smile dancing on his lips, "I want three original poems from you three and you three only." He was pointing at Danny, Sam and Tucker. Both Tucker and Danny looked so distraught except for Sam who only seemed to grin wider at this. 'This is so easy,' she thought happily as she picked out her favorite poem that she had memorized. She loved poetry! It was one of her all time favorite hobbies and now she was able to express how she feels about things.

"Are you sure we can't just give you my teacher?"

"Danny!"

"You owe me James, remember?"

Danny sighed again, "Alright, alright just give me a few minutes." Sam only smiled as she playfully rolled her eyes. Danny wasn't much of a poet, heck he tried writing her one sometime in the middle of summer but he got so nervous when he was going to show it to her he was an adorable stuttering mess. 'It was sweet though,' she thought with a smile. Although, she knew that with Danny you always have to expect the unexpected.
