Home is behind the world ahead

And there are many paths to tread.

Through shadow to the edge of night,

When the stars are all alight.

Mist and shadow ,cloud and shade,

All shall fade, all shall fade. -J.R.

Lucy had ruled a country, fought sea monsters and slave traders. She and her siblings had defeated the White Witch with Aslan's help and protect.

But leaving home, going to college and growing up- this was the scariest thing she ever did. The whole wide world was open to her, and that really frightened her. There were some many paths ahead of her- which was the correct one?

There was only ever one path she had felt certain of. Her and Caspian- the love they had shared- that was a path she could have been happy with forever. And she could have had it, if only she could have stayed.

He had told her one night when the stars were all alight that he would marry her the next day, it didn't matter if she left. She wished she had said yes- that she could have been his wife, if only for a short while. But she knew that would only hurt them both in the long run.

Lucy bordered the train, letting her mind and heart focus on the warmth the mere thought of Caspian brought.

That's she didn't notice anything was wrong at first. It wasn't until her mind was able to find a moment of clarity from the misty shadows over it that she realized there had been a crash.

She saw Aslan over her, his breath washing over her skin.

Then everything faded.
