I Just Wanted to Help

I'm the first one out of there, Zay follows me along with Farkle. As I'm walking away, I can hear Riley arguing with her father. I sit down on a bench outside of the school.
Zay - We have class you know?
Lucas - I just need a minute alright
Farkle runs up behind us
Farkle - Guys we have class
Zay and I just stare at him
Farkle - Okay then. Anyway, Zay. I'll help you with your math test.
Zay - Really?
Farkle - Yeah.
Zay - Wow. Thanks man.
Farkle - After school in the library.
He runs off to class.
Lucas - I'm glad he hasn't changed.
Zay - Me too.
He pats the back of my back
Zay - Come on man. We can't miss classes anymore.
I follow him to our next class.
But for now, let me finish telling you about why Zarkle "broke up".

It was the next day at school. I just sat down in my seat in first period, homeroom. Farkle sitting a couple of seats in front of me, Riley and Maya in their seats as well.
Zay - Why would you do something so stupid Farkle?!
He comes in angry. He looks at Farkle. I can't see his face because I'm sitting behind him, but I can imagine he's shitting breaks right now. Riley and Maya are looking at eachother confused.
Farkle - I was just trying to help you Zay.
Zay - I don't need anyone's help because I don't need help.
Farkle - It's not good to stay inside Zay.
Zay - Are you kidding me right now?
Farkle - I didn't mean it in a bad way.
Zay - I am NOT gay. I don't need you, a know it all small dude, to help me with my dating life.
Mr. Mathews - Zay! Take your seat.
Zay - If you ever pull this shit ever again, you won't live to see daylight.
Mr. Mathews - Mr. Babineoux take your seat.
He takes his seat next to me. I look at him and ask if he was okay. He says he's fine, but he doesn't look at me, he wasn't fine. After the bell rings I try to catch up with Zay, but before I knew it, he was gone. I see Farkle and run up to him. I think he was scared that I was going to punch him because he flinched.
Lucas - What did you do?
Farkle - He didn't tell you?
Obviously, that's why I was asking him. I shake my head no.
Farkle - After you both left the library, I went to talk to the library man.
Lucas - You didn't.
Farkle - I told him that Zay thought he was cute, but he was too shy to ask for his number. So I gave him Zays number.
Lucas - I'm actually surprised that he didn't hit you at all.
Farkle - I wasn't expecting THAT reaction.
After that had happened, Zay didn't want to ever look at him. So Farkle stopped hanging out with us. He spent all his time with Smackle. Then it was just Zay and I.
