Rileys POV
I was sitting at the edge of my bed looking at the window. Waiting and hoping to see Maya out there. I heard a knock on the window. Maya. I quickly run up and open the window and let her in. I don't say a word I just hug her tightly.
Maya - Missed you too honey.
I let go of her
Riley - Where the hell have you been?
I stare at her face. It was beaten up pretty badly. What the fuck.
Riley - Maya. What happened to your face?
Maya - It's nothing.
Riley - You've been gone for a day, your face is beaten up. What the fuck happened.
Maya - Jack accidentally hit me.
Riley - Accidentally?
Maya - Yeah, it was an accident?
Riley - Why were you gone for a day? Why didn't you call me? Where the hell have you been?
Maya - I just stayed with Jack for the day, it's no big deal Riley.
Riley - Maya. He ASSAULTED you.
Maya - It was an accident.
Riley - I'm telling my dad
Maya - No you're not because there's nothing to tell.
Riley - Maya, you got fucked up!
Maya - We don't talk about it remember?
Riley - Why are you protecting him?
Maya - Because it's not big deal.
Riley - I'm sorry I can not let this slide Maya!
Maya - If you tell about me I'll tell them about you hurting yourself.
Riley - Maya, this is more than that. Somebody hurt you. That's not right.
Maya - And what you hurting yourself is?
Riley - Look at your face peaches..
Maya - Look at your arms honey.
I stay silent for a while.
Maya - Can we just go to sleep and pick this up in the morning? I just want to sleep.
Riley - Who were you with?
Maya - I was with Jack.
Riley - Come on, let's go to sleep.
Maya and I get ready for bed, were next to eachother and she turns to me.
Maya - I love you honey, and I appreciate everything you do for me. I just don't want to make a big deal out of this.
Riley - I just want to help you.
Maya - I don't need help. I could handle things myself, remember? I'm Maya Penelope Hart Hunter Mathews. We're strong people.
I'm trying hard not to cry.
Maya - How's my face? Do I look horrible?
Riley - Yeah. But you're still beautiful.
She gives me a kiss on the cheek and turns her body to the other side..
