A/N: Sorry it's been so freaking long, Year 12 (Senior year) has just been very stressful for me and I don't have a lot of down time to myself. But don't worry, I'm still writing this fanfic, I have so many ideas for it and I hope you all are still reading and enjoying it!

Next chapter (part 2) will hopefully be published a lot sooner than this one was!! Enjoy <3

THIS IS ONLY PART 1.

Third Person.

Life since Shawn proposed to Katy has been going well for Maya and her friends. Everyone seems to be excited and happy about the new engagement but no one has really spoken about it properly.

Except Maya, who told her two boy best friends all about it when she got home that night. They were, of course, thrilled by the whole thing and took Maya out to celebrate that week.

Ever since then everything has been moving pretty nicely, no one really speaking of the awkward triangle between Riley, Lucas and Maya, knowing the blonde still needs to 'find' herself.

There hasn't been much progress since that night when Maya and Riley practically destroyed the art room. But it has affected anyone so the friends just haven't bothered talking about it since.

Maya has let it linger in her mind which she thinks about quite often, she just doesn't talk about any of it with Riley or the others. Instead, she chose to tell Josh a bit about all of it, about a week after when he randomly messaged the blonde asking if she was okay.

It was a completely surprise text message from the boy but Maya loved it. The two spending some time texting between one another about various things before Maya finally felt as though she could tell him everything.

Ever since then, she's been missing that brown-haired, blue-eyed boy with that gorgeous smile and perfect voice. Riley, Scott and Stiles have all noticed it too, since she started talking more and more about the boy to them.

"Nature!" Mr Matthews exclaims, hitting the black board with a pointer stick.

The girls are sitting at their desks in Mr Matthews classroom, awaiting the proper preparation before they, along with the rest of the nature group, can leave for their excursion. Maya and Riley have both been excited for this trip to the Ski Lodge ever since joining the club.

It's their biggest, more interesting-sounding excursion they've yet to have this year, and even though it means they'll be gone for three days, Maya can't wait to go and watch the leaves change color and be able to take amazing pictures of it.

"What's he got against nature?" Maya questions aloud. "Isn't he running the nature club?"

"He's only running the nature club because it was either that or the ski club." Riley answers, sitting up and smiling.

"So why isn't he running the ski club?" Lucas queries, confused.

"He can't run the ski club because of what happened at the mountain ski lodge when they were our age." Riley explains. Mr Matthews continues to hit the black board. Someone asks about what happened so Riley tell them. "A mountain girl kissed him."

"I didn't kiss her back!" The teacher exclaims in a rush. He then goes on to lecture the class about nature and things that can happen when human nature is involved. He then starts to bring up the triangle, annoyed about its existence.

"Why do you have to.." Riley begins.

"Bring that up..." Maya adds.

"For?" Lucas finishes.

"Because the triangle is going to the great out doors.. so we are gonna need some great chaperones." Mr Matthews explains.

Maya smiles, "We've got this completely under control Matthews. My human nature is completely under control and there is nothing or nobody that could ever change that."
