Third Person.
Josh jerks awake from something moving on top of him. His eyes open and all he can see is a face full of blonde hair suffocating him. He pushes the hair out of his face and looks down at the young sleeping blonde.
He can't help but smile at the sight of waking up to this beautiful blonde. But then he realizes where he is and how bad it will be trying to sneak out of here if her parents are home.
In Josh's mind, that doesn't matter right now though, so he lets himself close his eyes again and just enjoy cuddling with the younger girl. It just feels so right and he wishes so badly that either she was older or that he was younger so it didn't feel so inappropriate.
Memories of them kissing flood into his mind and even though he knows how inappropriate it was for them to do, he can't help but smile.
And to him, it really is only the age difference that he thinks is inappropriate.
To Maya, however, she doesn't care at all about an age difference. Her love for Josh is way stronger than an almost three years age difference. And when she wakes up to a tightening cuddle from Josh, she smiles.
She also just lays there enjoying the cuddling, not wanting to wake up properly and ruin it. Neither of them know what time is, all Maya knows is that her mother has work today and that Shawn is going to be home all day.
She hopes that he goes out at some point so that Josh can sneak out though, or else things might get a little awkward. But for now, she lays there, half awake and drifting off to sleep to the smell and warmth of Joshua Matthews.
A couple hours pass and Maya wakes up again to the sounds of knocking at her door. Her eyes fly open and she jerks up as much as she can in Josh's hold, waking him up too.
When he goes to speak, Maya is quick to shush him. "Shh, don't speak." She whispers to him, another knock pounding on her door.
"Maya?" Shawn calls through the closed door, not daring to open it. "You should start waking up now!" He's never wanted to wake up Maya but he really does want to try and step up as more of a father figure in her life now that he's actually going to be in it forever.
"I'm awake!" Maya finally yells back, wanting him to move away from the door.
Both Maya and Josh wait for a bit, hearing Shawn's footsteps retreating before Josh finally speaks up in a whispered voice. "That was close."
Maya smiles, "You know he wouldn't have opened the door or anything."
"How do you know that?" Josh asks, a little confused but definitely not showing it, instead just acting curious.
"Because he doesn't know if I sleep naked or if I'm getting changed or anything like that." Maya answers and Josh nods. It was such an obvious answer and Josh is kind of annoyed at himself for not thinking of it. But in his defense, he just woke up.
"How am I going to leave if he's walking around downstairs?"
Maya thinks for a bit, looking from Josh to the window and back again. "The window?"
Another obvious answer to Josh's silly question. But still, he is very tired so he really doesn't care that he's asking such easy questions right now.
"Are you hungry though?" Maya quickly asks before Josh can even think about moving. She doesn't want him to go; wanting just a few, maybe ten, more minutes with the boy. "I can get you some breakfast before you go?"
Josh thinks about it for a bit. Staying with Maya would be lovely, but is it really worth getting caught by her parents over? He catches her eyes and see how pleading, begging she is and honestly, he can't say no to that face.
