A/N: This is written all over the place and gets a little different (sorry) but I really want to give an insight into Josh's mind but also skip through a bit as I don't want unnecessary information to drag on chapters.
Third Person.
It's been so hard for Maya these past few weeks. The distance from Josh has kept her from going over to the Matthews, but thankfully Riley has been able to come visit quite a lot. As well as her other friends too.
Seeing her friends really helped distract her from everything going on. And she even got to go visit Kermit and his family too which she loved.
She was also distracted by school after finally going back there since the accident. It was hard, but no one seemed to notice, and if they did, no one made a big deal about it.
The first day was probably the hardest. She was so nervous and scared that everyone would judge her and make fun of her that she hid away in the classrooms for most of their breaks, Riley and their friends sitting with her to keep her company.
She didn't hang out with Scott and his friends until the fourth day, and when she did finally go and see them, she regretted not coming to hang out with them earlier.
*Flashback*
Everyone was super excited, bustling with joy as Maya wheeled into the cafeteria with Scott pushing her wheel chair over to their table. He stopped when they get there and sat down next to her, a smile on his face.
Stiles, Lydia, Issac and another guy named Danny all sat at the table, all happy to see the blonde.
"We've all missed you!" Lydia was the first to say and everyone quickly agreed, smiles on their faces.
They were all so happy that the blonde was okay and finally back at school. And she felt almost guilty that she hadn't come to spend lunch with them earlier in the week.
When she went to explain herself to them, Lydia stopped her, saying, "Don't worry about filling us in on everything, Scott and Stiles already told us everything so you wouldn't have to." She was smiling so wide, so glad to see Maya again.
"Did anyone want to write on the cast? My other friends have already." Maya had asked after a few moments of awkward silence.
"I already have." Lydia boasted, pointing over the table towards the cast. "I'm sure you can guess what I had written."
Maya was confused but looked around the cast until she saw which was Lydia's words. There were two, one that simply said "You're a strong angel, love Lydia", and another that said "the pack loves you" with a heart at the end.
"Thanks, I didn't even realize you came to visit." Maya admitted, her voice soft.
"That's okay, you weren't exactly conscious." Lydia said with a small, sad laugh to lighten the mood. "Issac visited once too, I'm pretty sure."
Everyone looked over to him where he sat, face blushing slightly with embarrassment from all the ones staring at him. "Yeah... I actually went with Allison." He admitted, glancing at Scott and then looking at Maya. "She wanted to come visit but didn't really want anyone to know. So I went with her."
"Oh." Maya said with a breath. "Well thanks for visiting." They both smiled at each other and then Scott spoke up.
"I can't believe she didn't tell me she went to see you." He huffs out.
After about five minutes, said girl showed up at the table, taking a seat next to Danny and Lydia. "Maya! Good to see you're okay." Her voice was warm and caring, freaking Maya out a bit. "How are you doing?"
