Third Person.
Maya wakes up in the most comfortable position she could ever hope for - cuddled up in Josh's arms, in his bed. She doesn't care about anything else except for the warmth that he's blanketing her in.
She's just about to drift back to sleep when his phone's alarm goes off, interrupting her. She groans in annoyance and then whimpers when he moves his arm to turn the alarm off.
He hears her quiet whimper and looks down at her, smiling at her cuteness. He's falling for her so hard and her little cute morning noises and rosy cheeks aren't helping.
He wraps his arm back around her and she snuggles closely into him. "Good morning." He greets her, his voice deeper than usual and Maya finds it completely attractive.
"Morning." She whispers back, not wanting to get up yet. Her hands clutch onto his shirt, balling the material into her fists and he lets her.
There's nothing Josh wants more than to lay here with his beautiful girlfriend all morning. However, he knows they need to get up and get ready otherwise his mother will be upset with them. And since she let them share a bed last night, he wants to stay on her good side to have a better chance to share one again tonight.
So, after a few long moments cuddling with his girlfriend, he moves away from her, unwrapping his arms from her body before sitting up. When Maya tries to protest, he shuts her down, warning her of how much time she has before they need to leave.
When she hears that, her eyes widen and she jumps up, rushing out of Josh's room to get ready, leaving Josh chuckling softly at her reaction. He grabs his phone and looks through it for a bit before he too, gets up and starts getting ready.
Downstairs, his mother is already up and having breakfast with Laura, Cassidy and Eric. When Josh is finally ready, he goes downstairs to join them, ignoring the looks his mother gives him that he knows is a question to if he and Maya did anything.
Of course, even if they did, he wouldn't let her know about it. She's suspicious but she also trusts her son not to do anything stupid so she gives up with the looks after a little while, letting him eat some pancakes in peace.
Meanwhile, Maya is still getting ready, looking over her clothes and trying to decide what to wear. She grabs a simple long sleeve t-shirt and the sweater Amy made her to go over it, pairing it with some pale Christmas leggings she almost forgot she packed.
Once dressed and ready, she goes down and joins them. Amy whips up a fresh batch of pancakes for her and for Alan, who just got back from sorting something at work. They all dig in, eating and chatting together.
It's not long before they're finished and all bustling to leave, trying to work out how the eight of them will travel to the mall. Finally they decide Morgan, Laura, Cassidy and Eric will go in one car, while Josh and Maya are left to go with his parents.
The car ride to the mall is awkward and filled with weird conversation, held mostly by Alan who can't seem to stay quiet. Maya's so used to the family, since she's grown up with them, that she doesn't even notice how Alan can't stop talking.
To her, it's just his normal self chatting away.
Amy, however, does notice and shushes him just as they arrive at the mall. Alan quiets down and Josh feels his cheeks redden with embarrassment from his parents. He glances to the blonde to see how she's doing but he can't tell how she's feeling at the moment.
