"You did amazing oppa," I smiled at Kai, "It's ok if I call you oppa right?"
"Of course," Kai nodded, blushing slightly, "And thanks."
"I wish I could dance like you," I commented.
"You could if you were a dance major," Kai suggested.
"Dohee told me the same thing," I nodded thoughtfully, "However I'll tell you what I told her, not in my skill set."
"What is your major?" Kai asked curiously, "Jondae hyung said something about music and Junmyeun hyung and Kyungsoo hyung have a composing class with you..."
"I'm a composing major and writing minor," I informed him.
"You'll have to play me something sometime," Kai poked me, "The hyungs say you're really good."
"Maybe one day," I blushed, avoiding Kai's eyes.
"Heesooah!" Baekhyun came running over, "Do you and Dohee wanna come over?"
"Now?" I questioned, glancing at Kai who nodded encouragingly, "Yeah sure!"
"Let's go!" Baekhyun yelled. We headed towards the doors and I looked around for Dohee. I finally found her outside talking to Kris.
"Dohee there you are," I said as I walked up to Dohee. She rolled her eyes and wrapped her arms around me in greeting.
"Just wanted some fresh air," Dohee spoke.
"Well," I whispered, grinning widely, "That's some nice fresh air you got there if you know what I mean," Dohee nudged my lightly in the stomach making me laugh before I spoke again, "There's a party at the guy's place. Kind of a well done, hooray, we did it kind of thing. Just the guys and us two."
I watched as Dohee looked at the boys and then back at me, a questioning looking in her eyes.
"Ok well more like a get together than a party," I said before walking back towards Kai.
"Ready?" Kai asked a wide smile on his face.
"Of course," I nodded.
"Oh," Dohee came up next to me, "I'm meeting up with Rap Monster."
Before I could reply Rap Monster slung an arm over Dohee's shoulders. I shrugged slightly and turned back to Kai as we made our way to the dorm, dragging Dohee by the arm behind me. We walked together to their massive apartment and everyone began to make themselves comfortable. I made my way towards the couch and heard Tao speaking.
"You don't know?" Tao seemed surprised.
"Know what?" I asked, sitting down next to Dohee.
"I live here too," Rap Monster grinned. I felt someone nudge me and I turned to see Kai motioning for me to follow him. I got up to follow him as Dohee chases after Rap Monster. We stepped out onto the balcony and looked at the stars for a few moments, only the murmur of the voices inside being heard.
"It's so beautiful," I whispered in awe as I looked at the sky.
"Not as beautiful as you," Kai murmured. I turned and saw him watching me, causing me to blush and hide behind my hair. Kai reached forward and hooked a finger under my chin, pulling my face around so he could look into my eyes. I bit my lip shyly, unsure of what to say. Kai brushed a strand of hair out of my face, his eyes never leaving mine.
"I'm not usually this forward," He spoke softly, "But I really feel a connection with you. You are so full of light, and joy, and energy. You light everything up when you walk into the room and though I've only known you for a few hours I can already tell you're a force to be reckoned with. There's something about you that is so intriguing and I want, no need, to get to know you more."
"I feel the same about you," I smiled, trying not to squeal in excitement.
"Well with that being said, would you be willing to date me and see how things work?" Kai rose an eyebrow at me.
"I'd love too," I agreed. Kai smiled widely and pulled me into a hug, kissing my forehead softly. He pulled away and took my hand in his, intertwining our fingers together and led me back inside.
"Kai and Heesoo," Sehun laughed.
"What about us?" I asked. Everyone quickly looked at us and an awkard silence filled the room.
"Oh, only that Dohee here is Sehun's slave because she lost the bet which was about how Kai likes Heesoo," Lay smiled innocently. Everyone looked at Lay in shock.
"The bet was on soda not being a slave," Dohee defended herself. I watched as she looked at Lay and then turned her head slowly to look at Kai and I. Her gaze drops and she finally sees our intertwined hands.
"Ah?" She questioned, her eyes meeting mine.
"Uh, right," I bit my lip and turned to Kai, "Oppa?"
"Mmm. Everyone," Kai called out, lifting our raised hands, "We've decided to try dating."
The room broke out in cheers and whistles making me blush and hide my face in Kai's shoulder. I felt his body shake with a chuckle as he patted my back. Once the cheers died down I pulled away and led Kai to the couch, plopping down next to Dohee and pulling him down by me.
"I'm happy for you," Dohee whispered in my ear.
"Me too," I whispered back, "Now what about you and Kris oppa?"
"Shut up," Dohee elbowed me in the ribcage.
"Fine, we'll talk later," I winked.
"Let's put in a movie," Xiumin suggested, walking over to the tv, "Any suggestions."
"Something scary, so the two lovebirds can cuddle," Sehun snickered.
"Wait," I spoke up, "Aren't you guys hungry? Let me make dinner first."
"Heesooah," Chen frowned, "You don't have to make us food."
"I want to," I smiled, standing up and patting Chen's head as I passed him, "Lay oppa do you wanna help?"
"Yes yes yes!" Lay jumped up excitedly and followed me towards the kitchen.
Kai's POV
I watched Heesoo as she walked into the kitchen with Lay, a smile stretching across her face. I have a feeling that was going to be a common appearance on her. Which, I strongly approve of, she has a beautiful smile.
"Jonginah," Chen spoke and I turned to look at him, "Be careful with her heart. She's not as tough as she likes to portray. And I swear if you hurt her you're gonna regret it."
"Nae hyung," I nodded, understanding clearly. I totally get where he is coming from with this. I have sisters, I get that whole overprotective nature that comes with it. Heesoo really is like Chen's little sister. He loves and protects her fiercely and that is a line I do not want to cross. Also I know that I just met Heesoo but I can't imagine hurting her. The thought of seeing her hurt makes my own heart hurt. The thought of seeing anything other than her usual smile on her face makes me want to cry. She is just so pure, and beautiful, amazing. I don't even know if I have words to describe her. I am honestly so genuinely excited to get to know her more and to have her a part of my life. There was a loud crash in the kitchen, followed by a squeal and then giggles. I got up to go investigate and saw both Heesoo and Lay on the ground laughing, a few pots tipped over next to them.
"What happened?" I asked curiously, helping Heesoo up.
"Lay oppa and I ran into each other with our pots," Heesoo giggled, picking up a pot from the ground.
"She got in my way," Lay defended, picking up his own pot.
"Boo," Heesoo stuck her tongue out at Lay, "You were in my way."
"You're cute when you pout," I laughed, shaking my head.
"Thanks," Heesoo flashed me a cheesy smile, before pushing me out of the kitchen, "Now get out so we can cook."
"Okok," I laughed, raising my hands up in defeat, "But cook fast I'm hungry!"
