Chapter Twenty-one

Heesoo's POV

"Namjoon oppa, if you break my friend I'm gonna kick your butt," I laughed, smacking him lightly on the head as I passed on my way to the kitchen.

"Mian Heesooah," Rap Monster apologized, rolling off of Dohee.

"Yixing oppa," I called out to Lay, "What should we make?"

"Black bean noodles?" Lay suggested, hopping up from the couch and skipping towards me.

"Sure," I nodded, smiling. I took Lay's hand and pulled him into the kitchen so we could start cooking. We had just finished cooking when the doorbell rang with our delivery chicken. I yelled at someone to answer to answer the door as Lay and I carried the dishes into the living room. Seconds later Kris was placing the chicken onto the coffee table and everyone quickly crowded around as D.O turned on a movie.

"Heesooah, I think I'm in love with you," Suho joked as he took another bit of the noodles.

"Back off hyung, she's mine," Kai laughed, punching Suho lightly.

"What am I a piece of meat?" I rose an eyebrow, "Since when was I anyone's?"

"You know what I mean," Kai grinned, kissing me swiftly on the cheek.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah," I rolled my eyes, ruffling Kai's hair. He draped an arm around my shoulders and pulled me in close to him, placing another kiss on top of my head. I wrapped my arms around his waist and laid my head on his shoulder, content to cuddle now that I was full. Kai began to run his fingers through my hair, playing with it. My eyes fluttered to a close, exhausted from the long day. Also, I'm pretty sure having your hair played with is one of the most relaxing things ever. It wasn't long before I fell asleep.

Kai's POV

I glanced down at Heesoo and saw that she had fallen asleep. She was so adorable when she was sleeping. I mean don't get me wrong, she's adorable all the time, but there's something especially adorable about her when she's asleep. Her expression was peaceful and her full lips were parted slightly. Heesoo is so energetic and full of life all the time it's nice to see her relaxed and at peace. Especially after everything that happened yesterday. Words cannot describe how happy I am that she forgave me. I am so angry at myself for messing up so badly, for causing her so much hurt and pain. I've never regretted anything more in my life than that moment. Yet another reason why I'm so lucky to be dating a girl like Heesoo. She's got such a big heart, so loving and caring. I don't know how I managed to be with someone like her but I'm going to do everything in my power to make sure I never lose her. I pulled Heesoo closer to me and rested my head on top of hers, my own eyes closing.

Chen's POV

The movie ended and I looked at Kai and Heesoo to see them both fast asleep, cuddled up with each other. They were cute together. I'm glad that things are working out so well between them, and that they work so well together. I figured they would be good together, but every time I see them together I realize more and more just how perfect for each other they are.

"What should we do about the lovebirds?" Sehun asked, gesturing towards Kai and Heesoo.

"Leave 'em," Suho shrugged, grabbing a blanket and placing it on them, "Tomorrow is Sunday so there's no classes."

"I'll walk you home Doheeah," Rap Monster stood up, pulling Dohee with him, "You'll be ok without Heesoo right? I mean you can just stay here if you want."

"I'll be fine oppa," Dohee laughed, "Just walk me home. Bye oppas."

"Bye Dohee," We all chorused back. Dohee and Rap Monster walked out of the dorm and everybody else headed off to their rooms, stopping to put their dishes in the sink. I took another look at Kai and Heesoo, a smile forming on my face. I'm really glad they found each other. Heesoo needs a guy who's going to love and cherish her, to treat her like she's the sun, the stars, and the moon. Because she is. Especially after everything that happened with Kyuhyun. And I honestly think Kai is the guy to do that. I can already see by the way he looks at her, the way he holds her, and the way he talks about her, that he is totally and completely falling for her. And Heesoo is falling for him too. I was so worried that after Kyuhyun Heesoo would close herself off to loving someone again. She was so broken and hurt afterwards, I wasn't sure if she was ever going to recover. Kai came into the picture at the perfect time for Heesoo. She was just getting to a place where she was ready to open herself again when she met Kai. Honestly I was worried that she wouldn't give him a chance, that she would close herself off and not let Kai get to really know her. But somehow, Kai broke down her walls and walked right into her heart. I smiled one last time before heading off to my room.
