*A few days later*

Heesoo's POV

"Whew, this is hard," I let out a sigh as I plopped down on the studio floor.

"You're doing great," Kai sat next to me.

"Thanks for helping," I smiled, pushing Kai's sweaty hair out of his face.

"Anytime babe," Kai gave me a quick kiss.

"Have you talked to your managers about going to America on Friday?" I asked.

"Yep, everything is good to go," Kai nodded, "Now c'mon let's get you home, you've been practicing for days. You need a break."

"But," I started.

"No buts," Kai interrupted. He stood up and pulled me to my feed, "Let's go."

"Yes oppa," I relented. He laced his fingers with mine and walked me back to my dorm.

"Bye oppa," I gave Kai a hug.

"Have a good night jagi," Kai kissed my head, "See you tomorrow."

I opened the door into my dorm and almost ran into Dohee.

"What are you doing tonight?" Dohee asked.

"Nothing," I shrugged.

"Perfect," Dohee smiled, "We're going to the hot springs. Just us."

"Girls night!" I cheered. I quickly changed into my swimsuit and we headed out, making our way to the street to hail a taxi.

"I'm so ready for this," Dohee sighed, "My muscles are so sore from all this dancing."

"Same," I nodded, "Everything hurts."

We climbed into the taxi and told the driver to go to the hot springs.

"I'm excited for this trip," Dohee murmured, "It'll be fun."

"Couples trip," I cheered quietly, "But seriously, finally. Took you long enough," I threw in a wink so Dohee would know I was just teasing.

"I know," Dohee laughed, "Not everyone is as fearless as you and Kai."

"Hey, when it's right, it's right," I shrugged, "Besides, who in the right mind would say no if their bias asked them out?"

"You make a fair point," Dohee laughed, "But I dunno, you just...accepted him into your lie so easily."

"Which brings me back to what I first said," I said, "When it's right, it's right. I can't deny that it feels right with Jongin oppa. Don't get me wrong, it's still scary, but I trust that feeling and I trust he feels it too."

"So wise," Dohee winked.

"I'm actually a genius," I put a finger to my lips, "Shh."

"You're a dork," Dohee rolled her eyes.

"Yes," I nodded, "But that's why you have me."

"You're not wrong," Dohee grinned. We arrived at the hot springs and we hopped out of the taxi.

The evening was well spent, both of us relaxing our sore muscles in the hot water.

"You know, we're definitely hitting the beach while we're in LA," I looked at Dohee, "I know you were all shy about seeing Kris...which I don't know why, we've been swimming before.

"I don't know," Dohee sighed.

"Well you have until the weekend to get over it," I snickered.

"Shut up," Dohee groaned, splashing me. I laughed harder, causing Dohee to splash me again.

After an hour and a half, we both were ready to go. We dried off and headed back out and home, our muscles feeling loose and relaxed.

*Friday morning*

Kai's POV

I had just finished putting the last of my items in my suitcase when Heesoo walked back into my room.

"Annyeong oppa," Heesoo smiled brightly.

"Annyeong jagi," I leaned over and kissed her softly.

"You ready?" Heesoo asked.

"Yep," I nodded. "Let's go!"

Heesoo held out her hand and I intertwined my fingers with hers. I grabbed my suitcase with my other hand and we made our way to the living room where Kris and Dohee were waiting.

"Ok, the car is waiting," Heesoo said, 'Let's head to the airport!"

Everyone made their way out to the car and loaded their stuff. As soon as we were all in. Mr. Lee began the drive to the airport where the private jet awaited.

"It's been a while since I've been back to America," Heesoo commented as we all got settled on the plane.

"So, how do you know what to do in LA?" I asked Heesoo, "I mean, did you just go on vacation? Or?"

"Ah, right, about that," Heesoo bit her lip, "My mom is not actually my mom. My dad had an affair with a woman from America and she got pregnant with me. My dad didn't a divorce, too big of a scandal I guess. So, they faked my "mom" being pregnant and as soon as I was born I lived with them and visited my real mom during summers and some holidays. Plus the couple yeats they got sick of me and shipped me off there."

"Wait," I shook my head, "Are you?"

"Half American? Yes," Heesoo nodded, "Explains why I look weird."

"You don't look weird," I frowned at her.

"Fine," Heesoo laughed, "But I don't look like a typical Korean. That's also why sometimes...I..struggle with Korean. Not often, but I have two languages circulating in my head and I forget how to say things sometimes."

"Wow," Dohee nodded in thought, "You didn't think to tell us before because?"

"I'm not really supposed to talk about it," Heesoo frowned, "If they found out I told you guys they'd kill me."

"That's some...heavy stuff," Kris sighed.

"That's probably the reason my parents can't stand me," Heesoo pondered aloud, "I'm a constant reminder of my dad's infidelity. And yet they decided to raise me and not leave me with my mom...so that's their own fault."

"Well who needs them when you've got us?" I smiled.

"Exactly," Heesoo smiled, though it didn't quite reach her eyes.

"Well I'm going to take a nap," Dohee yawned, "I'm tired and this is going to be a long flight."

"Same," Heesoo said. She cuddled up next to me and was asleep in seconds. I kissed the top of her head softly before falling asleep myself.
