Chapter Thirty-five

Heesoo's POV

"We should have a campfire tonight," I said to Kai, his head on my lap, my fingers running through his hair absentmindedly.

"Mmm," Kai agreed, his eyes closed.

"Oh are you trying to sleep?" I asked, "Mian."

"Gwaenchana jagiya," Kai smiled slightly, opening his eyes, "I prefer talking to you over sleeping anyway."

"Heor," I rolled my eyes, "You're a dork. Just go to sleep."

"When's dinner?" Kai questioned, sitting up.

"Oh, uh..." I paused, looking at the clock, "I guess I should start that now."

"Do you need help?" Kai asked before laughing, "I'm just kidding. Go get Lay hyung."

"You know what's good for you," I winked. I kissed Kai quickly before going into the kitchen to start making dinner. After we finished we set it out on the tables and all the boys and Luna and Youngmi crowded around.

"I'm gonna go get Dohee," I said, "You guys go ahead and eat."

"Who is it?" Dohee's voice came through the closed door. Seconds later the door swung open and Dohee was standing there looking half awake.

"Oh your foot!" I looked at her ankle.

"I totally forgot about that!" Dohee said honestly, twisting her ankle around a bit, "It feels better!"

"Good for you! Still should take it easy just in case," I reminded her, coming into the room and closing the door behind me.

"What's up?" Dohee asked, sitting down on the bed with me.

"Kris and James," I started.

Dohee sighed and rolled her eyes before speaking, "Chill, James is gay and has a boyfriend."

I stared at her for a second, trying to process what Dohee just told me, causing Dohee to laugh and grab my face, "Yes Heesoo, he is gay. I'm just pissed and annoyed that Kris acted that way. It's not like we're a couple or anything," Dohee flopped back down on the bed.

"Yeah, but, you know his feelings...and still...you looked really happy," I told her gently.

"I wass just having a lot of fun," Dohee looked at me "You guys did kinda abandon me on the sand alone."

"Oh my gosh! We did! Mianhae!" I pulled Dohee up into a hug.

"Gwaenchana," Dohee smiled, patting my arm, "Imma shower quickly and then head down for dinner ok? I smelt the food as soon as I opened the door."

I nodded and flashed Dohee a smile before walking towards the door.

"Oh Heesoo, don't say anything ok? I want to deal with this," Dohee said. I nodded again before walking out. Man, Kris and Dohee just need to date already. This would save so much trouble if they finally admitted their feelings for each other and actually acted on them. Some people's kids.

"Is she ok?" Kris asked as soon as I came into view.

"She's fine," I smiled slightly, sitting down next to Kai.

"Here, I got you some food," Kai handed me a plate, "The way the hyungs eat I wasn't sure if there would be any left for you."

"Thanks babe," I laughed, "Is there some for Dohee too?"
