Chapter Forty-one

Heesoo's POV

I flopped down onto my bed and let out a big breath. I'm still exhausted from our trip. My eyes fluttered to a close and I could feel the sleep pulling at me. Right as I was drifting off there was a knock at the door. Who could that be? I rolled out of bad and walked to the door, opening it to see a very nervous Kris standing there.

"Oh Kris, did you forget something?" I asked.

"Forget something? No...I'm here to pick up Dohee for our date," Kris smiled.

"Dohee? Date?" I was confused now. Didn't he just pick her up? "Didn't you already come and get her though?"

"Heesoo, I didn't pick up Dohee. Where is she?" Kris questioned, worry filling his eyes.

"Well we heard a knock on the door and we thought it was you and I left before she opened the door to go to the bathroom. I thought it was you at the door," I explained getting worried as well. Where in the world could she bet? And who was at the door? I watched as Kris grabbed his phone. Second later Dohee's phone went off on her bad, causing us both to look. Why didn't she take her phone? What was going on? Where in the world could she be? She's ok right? I tugged on the hem of Kris' shirt, extremely worried now. He looked down at me, his worry filled eyes holding mine for a moment.

"Heesoo, stay in your room ok? I'm going to call Kai to come over. Dohee has probably just gone with one of her classmates and has noticed the time," Kris smiled and patted my head.

I rolled my eyes before nodding and then speaking, "Tell Kai to come quickly please."

Kris smiled and nodded in response before pushing me into my room softly and closing the door behind him. I started to pace back and forth, running a hand through my hair. This is stressing me out. Where could Dohee have gone? She wouldn't have run away right? I mean yeah, she seemed nervous, but I think she was still excited for this date. She actually got ready which is further than she got last time. I walked over to the window that overlooked campus, hoping to see her down there with Kris. Unfortunately, all I saw was random students milling about. I stared harder out the window, she must be out there, right? I felt a hand on my shoulder, causing me to scream and turn around.

"Babe, babe, its just me," Kai took a step back, holding his hands up.

"Oppa," I heaved a sigh of relief, "You scared me."

"Sorry jagiya," Kai chuckled, stepping closer to me and pulling me into his arms, "What's up? Are you ok? Kris hyung didnt say anything really. Just told me to get over here as fast as I could."

"Dohee is missing," I answered quietly, laying my head on Kais chest.

"Wait, missing? What do you mean missing?" Kai pushed me away from him so he could look at my face.

"I-I dont know," My voice shook, "There was a knock at the door and I thought it was Kris oppa. ButI guess it wasn't. I dont know. I went to the bathroom and when I came out she was gone. A few minutes later, Kris oppa was knocking at the door to pick up Dohee."

"She doesn't have her phone with her?" Kai rose an eyebrow.

"No, she left it on her bed," I shook my head, tears spilling down my cheeks, "Oppa, Im so scared. Where could she have gone?"

"Jagiya," Kai said softly, pulling me back against him, "She's ok. She probably just went for a walk or something. Kris hyung will find her."

"But I can't just sit here and do nothing," I pulled away from Kai, frustrated.

"Like what babe?" Kai asked, "You want to go out there and try and find her?"

"I-no, I don't think that will help," I bit my lip in thought. And then it came to me, "Wait, I have an idea."

"Whats that?" Kai asked.

"Don't judge me for this ok?" I looked at Kai pleadingly.

"I could never judge you," Kai answered immediately.

"Just wait," I sighed. I can't believe I'm going to do this. I walked over to my laptop and opened it, sitting down at my desk. And then I began hacking into the schools camera system.

"Wait," Kai pulled Dohee's chair over by mine, "Babe, are you hacking into the camera system?"

"Surprise," I chuckled wryly.

"So you're a hacker?" Kai nodded, "That's kinda hot."

"Oppa," I snorted, looking over at him and rolling my eyes.

"What?" Kai laughed, "It is. How good are you?"

"Good enough to get into the school system," I said as the entire campus camera system pulled up. I clicked around until I found the I found the camera from my dorm hallway. I reviewed the footage from the last hour, hoping to find something. Kai and I watched as four large figures walked up to our door and knocked. I felt my breath catch in my throat and I reached over to grab Kai's hand. The four, what I assumed were men based on their size, were dressed in all black and had masks over their faces, making it impossible to tell who they were. The door opened and the four men grabbed Dohee, put a cloth over her mouth and dragged her away.

"Jagi" Kai looked at me, shocked.

"Oppa, what are we going to do?" I asked, running a hand through my hair. I can't believe I just watched my best friend get kidnapped. I picked up my phone and dialed Kris' number.

"Heesooah! Did Dohee come back?" Kris picked up on the first ring.

"Uh no, but," I took a deep breath, trying to understand what just happened, "I know what happened."

"What? What happened?" Kris asked instantly.

"She got kidnapped," I said, finally realizing what happened. I choked back tears trying to remain calm.

"Kidnapped!?" Kris yelled, "What do you mean kidnapped?"

"I hacked into the camera system a-"

"Wait, youre a hacker?" Kris interrupted.

"So not the point oppa," I snapped, "Jongin oppa and I saw four guys come to the door and take her away."

"Did you see where they took her?" Kris asked impatiently.

"I'm following them now," I said as I clicked through the cameras, "They took her off campus. If they have a car its parked somewhere out of view."

"Ok, thanks Heesooah, Rap Mon and I will take care of it," Kris told me, "Just stay there with Jonginie."

Kris hung up before I could respond. I looked over at Kai, and took a deep breath before speaking, "Kris oppa says he and Namjoon oppa are going to take care of it."

"What does that even mean?" Kai rose and eyebrow, "Shouldn't someone be calling the police?"

"And tell them what? That I illegally hacked into the cameras? Oppa I could get into so much trouble for doing that!" I cried.

"Then what are we supposed to do?" Kai stood up angrily, "Just sit here and twiddle our thumbs?"

"Why are you getting mad at me?" I retorted, just as angry, "How the heck am I supposed to know what to do?"

"I know," Kai sighed, pulling me up into his arms, "I'm sorry jagi."

"Namjoon oppa will know what to do," I told Kai, "He can take care of this."

"How do you know?" Kai asked, scooping me up into his arms and taking me over to my bed. He set me down first and then cuddled up next to me.

"Because I know Namjoon oppa," I said quietly, laying my head on his chest, "He'll do anything to protect Dohee. And he has connections."

"What do you mean connections?" Kai questioned.

"I mean, mafia connections," I said quietly.
