Chapter Thirty-nine

Heesoo's POV

"We're flying back tomorrow right?" Kai asked as he carried food into the dining room with me.

"Yep," I nodded, "Unless we want to fly back Monday morning...but I don't think anyone wants to be that rushed in trying to get to classes."

"Makes sense," Kai grinned.

"Ok everybody, time to eat!" I called through the house. Within thirty seconds everybody was sitting at the table and shoveling food into their mouths.

"Wow," Kai chuckled, "Good to know that food is the fastest way to get these guys gathered."

"That's cause Heesoo's cooking is the best!" Sehun said through a mouth full of food. Everyone finished eating and D.O and Kai started to clean up the dishes.

"Let's watch a movie tonight," Luna suggested.

"Ooo yes! You have snacks, right?" D.O. looked over at me.

"Always," I replied, "Joonbug, wanna help me get them?"

"Sure," Rap Monster hopped up and followed me into the kitchen.

"How good are you at pranking?" I asked Rap Monster.

"Um fine I guess," Rap Monster laughed, "What's up?"

"I need to get Chen oppa back for throwing me in the pool," I responded.

"Ah," Rap Monster grinned, "I can definitely help with that."

"Perfect," I clapped my hands happily.

"Let's wait until we get back home. I have some ideas," Rap Monster ruffled my hair before helping me carry out the snacks to the living room. I cuddled up next to Kai and we started the movie, everybody ready to relax after a long day of activities. Within minutes, everybody was out cold, exhausted. I woke up a few hours later to a quiet darkness in the room. Someone must have turned off the movie. I sat up slightly, my eyes adjusting to the darkness slowly. I heard someone move and saw a dark mass rise above me. They stepped closer and a sliver of moonlight caught their face.

"Omo, Kris oppa, you scared the crap out of me," I breathed a sigh of relief.

"Heesooah?!" Kris jumped, "You're awake?"

"As of like 10 seconds ago," I answered, "What are you doing?"

"Can't sleep," Kris sighed, "Wanna go for a walk with me? How warm is it outside?"

"Sure," I stood up, "Um maybe grab a jacket."

"Ok, let's go," Kris nodded, taking my arm under the elbow and walking with me towards the door. We grabbed our jackets before heading outside.

"What's up?" I asked, putting on my hood and shoving my hands into my pockets.

"I'm just stressed," Kris replied after a long pause.

"About?" I rose an eyebrow, "Dohee?"

"Yeah," Kris chuckled wryly, "I mean she agreed to go on a date with me bu-"

"Really?" I squealed in excitement.

"Yes," Kris nodded, "But...I'm just...she's cancelled once before....and I just wanna get things right. I want things to work out with her this time."
