Heres the latest chapter. Sorry it took so long. Ive been at the beach alll week!!! So much fun :) Got a rockin tan!
Chapter 12:
I squinted my eyes shut, trying to block out the sun that was streaming through the window onto my face.
"Cassidy, why did you open the blinds?" I groaned, stretching my arms above my head. I opened my eyes, staring at a bright white wall. Then I remembered where I was.
I sat up slowly, trying not to jostle my head too much. Lying on the couch next to my bed was Ryan. He was sound asleep, his black hair messy from sleeping, and his head resting on his tanned arms.
He stayed all night? That was sweet. He was cute. NO! I'm not going to do this again! Leave him alone Monica! You don't want to break another guys heart!
I ran my hand through my dark messy curls, the side stiff from the dried blood. I yanked my fingers through it.
"Damn hair," I mumbled.
Ryan stirred and yawned, rolling over off the couch and onto the floor.
"Oomph," he cried, as he slammed onto the floor stomach first. He groaned.
"You okay?" I asked, looking over to where he was lying on the ground face first.
"I'm fine," he mumbled. I barely heard it.
He pushed himself up to a sitting position, leaning against the couch.
"I'd figured you'd probably go home to get some sleep," I said.
"Yeah, well, I want to be here for you till you leave the hospital," he said, running his fingers through his hair.
Aww!
"Umm... well, thank you for that," I said. Then I realized what I must look like.
I quickly wiped under my eyes, to remove any access make up, and smoothed out my hair as much as I possibly could.
Ryan was smirking at me.
"Don't worry you look fine," he said, laughing.
I giggled nervously.
"So when do you think they're going to let me out?" I asked.
"The doctor said around noon. They also have to do all the check out."
"Yeah that's true," I said, looking away from Ryan, whose intense eyes made me more then a little nervous.
"I just wanted to say thank you, Ryan. You've been here for me the whole time and I don't even know you. Not many people would do that." I said, looking at my hands in my lap.
Ryan shook his head.
"You really don't know, do you?" he asked me, in amazement.
"Know what?" I asked clueless.
"Wow," he said, shaking his head again, "I thought you were stuck up, I didn't know you were oblivious."
"What are you talking about?" I asked him.
"You don't know me?" he asked.
I shook my head.
"Well I know you," he said.
Okay, starting to get a little creeped out here.
"Your name is Monica Reyes Alvarez. Your middle name is your mother's maiden name. Your parent's names are Carlos and Marina Alvarez," he continued, "Your mother died in a car accident in which Damon Valentine was driving the car, you love horses and art, and your majoring in art therapy and fine arts. You have a sister named Carleigha, you don't get along with her or your father very well. Shall I go on?"
