I dawdle in the hallway of school, waiting for Asher to meet me. We're gonna go over what we're gonna say to his parents about us. Right now, Asher should be in French class, which he enjoys, for the most part. I have Geography, which I'm not too excited about, at all.
Finally, I see Asher walking down the hall. "Hey," I greet him as he gives me a kiss.
"So--" he starts, but I grab his woolly arm and lead him to a corner. "What are you doing?"
I giggle, wrapping my arms around his neck and smiling bashfully. "Don't want to be out in the open." I whisper, then kiss him. His hands hug my waist and he kisses me back.
"So, how do we start?" he says, looking me in the eyes. "What should we say to them?"
"Who?" I ask, clueless of what he's saying, I'm too lost in his eyes.
He rolls his beautiful brown eyes. "My parents. What do we tell them?"
I gaze into his eyes. When he stares at me with annoyance, I snap back to reality. "Sorry, what were you saying?"
He laughs softly. "You seem very distracted."
"I..guess..." I answer, looking steadily and intently with admiration.
He kisses me, just what I was waiting for. It's been a week since Rory's birthday, which means we've been together for about a week and a half. It feels longer because we've known each other since before I started school at Chilton. We met on September 18th, Saturday, and we sort of had a date on Sunday. I started school Monday. It's been almost a month, on Saturday it will be.
He kisses me again, then I stop him. "Hey, maybe we should get together on Saturday."
He stares at me. "What? Why?"
"Um, well..on Saturday..it will be a month since we first met." I say, blushing and feeling a little silly for even mentioning it in the first place.
He looks at me, surprised. "Really?!" I nod. "Wow..I can't believe it's already been a month.."
I nod, waiting his response. He strokes my cheek. "Yes, let's do something that day."
I grin. "Really?!"
"Yeah." he brushes my hair with his fingers, gently. "I'd love to spend the day with you. This is a big milestone, right?"
I can feel my cheeks burning up and probably turning red. "Of course. And maybe we could have dinner with your parents that night." I suggest, but quickly say, "If-If you want."
He kisses me yet again, cuddling me in his arms. "Yes," I feel like he wants to say more..but he doesn't, so we stay there. Hugging amorously in the corner of the halls, until the bell rings, making us rush to class.
* * * On Saturday, early in the morning, yet again * * *
I am dressed, a bit too formal, and ready to go. I'm wearing an emerald green, off the shoulder top, a pair of black jeans, and a pair of grey heels. I also have a green ring, on my index finger of course. I'm bringing a black purse as well.
As for my hair, most of it is down but I have a small ponytail, too. A bit of makeup is on me, too. Just eyeliner, mascara, and nude lip-gloss.
I'm about to reach for the doorknob to leave the house, but Mom sneaks up behind me.
"Callie," she says, walking into the front area. "What are you doing?"
I respond, without turning around, "I'm going out."
